This is a great intro to landscape painting if you've never tried it before. You can now buy the exact same brushes that I use in my videos on my website dewintonpaperco.com/shop/
I have never commented on a RUclips video before, but I just wanted to say thank you. I have spent most of the last 6 months in hospital, and have taken the opportunity to start paying with watercolour. I’ve watched a lot of videos, but genuinely find yours so easy to follow, with the right level of explanation to avoid scrambling my already scrambled brain. I actually had a go at this one a few months ago, and the ward Occupational Therapist now has it in her office. Thank you for creating something I feel able to have a go at ❤
Thank you so much...lovely tutorial. I enjoy your teaching. Very clear. I just received your Botanical book from Amazon on Sunday and today I ordered your second book. So excited to start with them. I am fairly new to watercolour painting (not new to the planet..71 😀), but my Granny and Mum always said keep learning..keeps your brain young. Wanda (Canada 🇨🇦)
Good morning. A further question regarding your books please. Will I find a corresponding video with the teachings in your books? I am a visual learner but also a very step by step one (the reason for purchasing your books 😀) I like the concrete word and photos on page. Also being new to your channel I just noticed the learning to paint videos. I would think it would be a good plan to watch these first. Maybe I'm over thinking 😂 , just so excited to "get with" all the knowledge you have 😉. Wanda
I love this! I'm a beginner and have 2 poppy pieces set up. But I've been worried about the background of red and greens mixing. I think I can do what you have done here. Even if it doesn't work, I'll learn something. I always do. Thank you! Your videos are always so informative as to the "why things work," if that makes sense? I really appreciate your work. Thank you!
Beautiful painting Harriet thank you. I have lavender bushes in my garden and just love the way they grow and smell, i could almost smell them from your painting! Thank you once again for your excellent teaching xx
You make it look so easy! I haven't tried this yet but I will attempt it soon I grew up on a wheat farm and I want to try this same technique with a wheat field and our old farm house. I am a newbie, just started couple of months ago and I came across your channel. I am also left handed and I think it helps, oddly enough, watching someone else paint left handed! Thank you for this tutorial and all of the ones that help beginners.😃
Beautiful...very tranquil picture...I just love your videos, you have such a great way of describing and explaining things...off to paint this...thanks...
Hi Harriet really love this painting; absolutely gorgeous. I did your cow parsley watercolour and, for my efforts, it came out ok. Thanks for sharing your amazing skills. Oo.. before I sign off, will you be doing the advent watercolour calendars this year. I know it's early to ask but I will need 4 this year. Thanks Harriet. Xxx
This was really fun, I’m afraid my paper dried too quickly so I had hard lines instead of nice blending. But there’s always tomorrow to try again. :) Thanks for a fun afternoon. See you tomorrow.
Beautiful painting. Do you have a link to the palette you used? I saw the link in the other video when you were setting it up but that link didn't work for me. If you don't mind, please share a link for this.
Harriet - this is lovely. I love the way the background lavender colour sort of granulated and separated to give a pinky/purple colour. Question for you: what is the brand of watercolour paper you used? I try getting the same "drying" process with paper that I have but it always seems to dry out way too quickly for me to get a similar effect to your artwork....Thanks

I use the Langton prestige
What size is the paper you used for this.
6x8 inches
Thanks a lot! But mine turned out a little muddy
Sorry to hear that
It would have been helpful if you put the colors of the paint so people can buy the colors
