I like to see that you sit down to cook. I understand why because i do the same thing. I ha e a bad hip and back from a car wreck in 1990. I sit at the table when needed and when at the stove I sit on my rolling walker. I also sit on my walker to do laundry. I love all your videos Mrs volfie. Your da bomb!
Mrs! I had never heard of cross buns. But they looked so good, I had to try. I made mine with freeze dried blueberries and they were a great hit. God bless u for sharing. Now it's in my recipe box so it will officially be a tradition. Love ur vids.
No the egg was beaten into the milk/sugar/butter mix..but I may have forgotten to mention it? they were tasty...good thing I froze some for company or there would be none. lol
I made these and gave some to a friend while delivering them last year to family as she was complaining about not being able to find any without the candied fruit...she loved them, this week she asked me if she could request some or if I only made them in spring...lol...I am making her and my mother in law some today...
I don't have plastic baggies :( only seal a meal bags and they are to expensive to use just for that..but the parchment worked so it.s all good right? Have a great weekend!
I hope you know how good you are!!! I just want to do every one of your recipes. However I want them to turn out just like yours. But I want Papas Hot Cross Buns...I will not do Rasiins or Currents. Thank You for all you do. Take Care. Hugs
Hi Bev, I'm also from the South, & the only time I ever heard of hot cross buns was also from a nursery rhyme song..Is this custom from Great Britain or which country? Those buns do look amazing & I think I'd like them both ways. But Volfie seems to have more icing so I'd go for his, LOL. Also, a better piper for the icing is to use a plastic baggie & cut the corner tip off of it. Won't need duct tape. =)
OMG 😳 Bev you had me LAUGHING SO MUCH IN THIS VIDEO!!!!!!! Bazookas, duct tape and yummy buns! What more could you want?! 😂❤ Duct tape on an icing bag is a new one for me!!! True Canadian when you know how to use duct tape to solve any issues!!! You haven’t aged a bit in all these years Bev!!!❤️🥰🙏🏻🍁🍁🇨🇦
Have you tried Howie with Sultanas? My Mum hates raisins, currants, pretty much all dried fruit, But, because Sultanas are quite juicy rather than chewy, no seeds inside, she will eat them.
