Seek the baptism of fire and the holy ghost and you will see a greater excitement and will start to see the amazing scriptures that show this in the Book of Mormon. This is how you will get on the straight and narrow path (2 Nephi 31:17).

Hey, I’ve been wondering quite a bit how to understand Nephi‘s talk of the gate of baptism… When we understand the ordinance as a recurring ordinance.
It’s almost like we have to get baptized for each principal and each gospel concept. so I’m glad to see the sacrament now in that way.

I’ve had rat problems too -( still do-) but I finally “called the exterminator” and HE got rid of it ! I am forever humbled and grateful!
2 Kings 14: 20 says he was buried at Jerusalem in the city of David.
The reason people are bored with the gospel, is because they cannot answer the question, "what is your next ordinance"? We used to ask this question and try to determine what we should seek for next. But now we are told that if we follow the doctrine of Christ (an incorrect teaching of it), once we are confirmed a member of the church, and go to the temple, all we need to do is endure to the end; that is a very boring answer, and not true. If we are truly seeking to follow the doctrine of Christ, we would be seeking for the baptism of fire and the holy ghost (an event) and a remission of our sins, but this is not taught. So, of course the members are bored and have no real ordinance to seek. Alma could only ask the people of Zarahemla if they had a mighty change of heart if it was an event, otherwise there is no answer.
Bored with the gospel???? We must not be following the same inspiration.
Every week, we receive the next ordinance ... the sacrament. That's exciting and directs my growth!
