Thanks for being real. I agree with you that there are good and not so good products in every makeup line. This makes the videos very helpful in deciding what to purchase.
Yep, I can only afford lower price products and have no problems with the majority of them. Works great for me 😊 I love the elf products and use their skin care line as well 😊 thanks for sharing your videos 😊
Hello Mags! We use the term High Street for affordable or drugstore. We have some cheaper brands like Barry M and Rimmel which are sold in Boots. Wet n Wild and ELF are fantastic brands. We can’t seem to get Essence in the UK, sadly. The cc cream looks fab on you!
I have both cheap and expensive makeup in my collection. There is stuff I love in both categories and lots of things that don’t work that well for me in both categories. I’m lucky enough to be able to pretty much buy what I want and makeup is my only “hobby,” so I get what looks interesting. I would say that I tend to have a hard time finding shades and colors I need in cheaper makeup, but I’m getting over paying luxury prices for stuff that is going to be a risk for me. The truth is that I don’t need a single product any more! Just mascara and eyeliner now and then.
Prayers for Cathy and her husband going up. So much fun to see your videos and I couldn’t agree more about the affordable makeup! There’s Holy Grails in that range that I am never without and they definitely deserve recognition. I too had times where a Revlon lipstick- I had to really think carefully about the colour- it HAD to work because all I could afford was 1, and I made it last. Those are still fantastic lipsticks and the shade range is amazing. Ditto brow pencils- there’s a beautiful little Canadian line called Annabelle that didn’t skew orange and I would baby them along too.
Where have you been all my life?!?! A new friend in my comments mentioned you so I ran right over! You are absolutely delightful and kind and I’m instantly a huge fan😍😘
Welcome!! So I’ve to meet you! Thank you for taking time to leave me your comments on multiple vids! I am slow sometimes to respond, sorry for the delay. ♥️♥️
Great video! I loved your comments about "snobbery" towards affordable makeup. That type of talk will definitely turn me away from watching a RUclipsr. I also love that you mentioned other channels that you enjoy. I just subscribed to both of them! Thanks!
My favorite affordable brand is ColourPop, mostly the shadow sticks. I've never heard of Erica Conger. Will check out her channel. Sorry to hear about Cathy's husband. I will definitely say a prayer. Take care!❤
Thank you for your no make up make up tutorial I hate wearing make up because I feel it makes me look older but I have seen a few tips like using the aquaphor lip balm under your eyes to keep the concealer from sinking into the creases, I still don;t think I want all these layers on my face, I like your tutorial very much.
I can afford department store make up but at my stage of life 63 I know I’m paying for marketing and name note I didn’t say packaging plastic is plastic. I look at ingredients ( not buzz words like clean) and read / watch reviews. And I keep my “ collection “ under 25 items. I try replacing only purchases. I refuse to pay $100 for an eyeshadow quad!
I think that influencers and content creators should calculate price per ounce. I’ve found that some Sephora products are less expensive per ounce vs elf (for example). But $9 is easier to spend even if it’s more expensive per ounce. ❤

You're so pretty in your headband! You remind me of myself before I became too ill to beautify daily - you stay with the times!💜
I love city lips it is actually working long term for your good. They have pretty lip gloss.
I love essence, there lip liners and eye liners are as good as my bobbi brown xXx

Hi Maggie, I like the Elf foundation on you. Question, what type of skin do you have? Mine is dry so I have to be careful what I use. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing the products. The palette is so pretty.
I appreciate you being here for us !

Great realistic video. I agree there is magic and uplift to your day with a little self care and attention.

Yes, I agree that "affordable" is not necessarily inexpensive. It's just less expensive than high-end makeup.
BTW, I can't stand makeup snobs!
I also follow Cathy, and I am praying for her and her husband. I have learned a lot from her.😊
Catrice is very affordable

Good point!
You look pretty I am pasty and every time I ever tried to put brown eyeshadow on my eyes I looked like someone punched me in the eyes, LOL
I have to watch what I put on my face…Allergies!!
I wear very little makeup.
How are you doing with your allergies and products?
I’ve been doing a lot better, after reading a lot of articles about my symptoms I really believe it was long COVID but there’s no test for that.
