I enjoyed this a lot! It really resonated with me when you spoke of fear of learning or using new techniques.

I love this whole thing start to finish! The animation is perfection! Made me think of an OLP music video. I find it kind of funny how your fear of mixed media is exactly the same as my fear of watercolour in reverse! I don't like having to plan the whole thing out because I am always afraid I'll ruin it. It's all about your comfort zone I guess.😅

If OLP means what I think it does, I could use some nostalgic music 😆 which song was it?

The animation at the end perfectly matched what I felt from the piece, if that makes any sense. My imagination makes art move, characters blink and breathe, that kind of thing, so the animation was what I already saw...? Does that make any sense? It was nice to see it it ACTUALLY move. Also, I know how it is to have weird things from your childhood stick with you into adulthood. There was a thing once from a children's TV channel that said "If the first thing you say on the first day of the new year is 'rabbit rabbit', you will have good luck!" I'm 40 and I still do it sometimes even though it has no basis in anything.

Rabbit rabbit, that's so random! I wonder how many other people you share that ritual with and not even know it

I’ve got an accordion sketch book, that I’ve had for over a year but I’m too scared to start it. Yours looks amazing ❤

Thanks! You could just pick a theme and just get started. Worst case scenario, it'll end up a mixed media collage project lol

Fantastic, I love it! Sorry if I missed it in the film, Mel, but how long did the painting on the front side take, did you get it all done in a day? I’ve had a go at a couple of zines, but only had an afternoon, so they were NOTHING like this 😂 thanks, really enjoyed this. 👏🏻

I didn't time it, and it's hard to guess because I'd work on it for a bit, get frustrated, then quit over and over. I was hoping it would be done with a week, but nope lol.

      oh thank you
Okay, umm probably Opus watercolour paper, qor watercolour, himi gouache, prismacolor pencils, a Velvetouch brush most likely, decocolor gold pen, and probably one of those fabercastell ecco pens 🤔
