Two of those states vote red btw. You need 270 votes to win. I have lived through GW Bush's win, which btw I vote for him and Trump's win which I did not vote for. Both times the the majority of voters were correct. Both presidents were disasters. The smaller states get a lop side advantage in the house and senate. More represented power per capital than larger states. The president is elected at large and fair would be to let all of us decide by who simply gets the most votes.
