    For anyone looking to jump this bike, you do end up bottoming out the suspension very easily. It’s light so it can get up in the air but the front fork is too soft and controller hits the back tire as well. So without any mods you are for sure going to hit the limit on this thing quickly.

    • @erides
      @erides  6 месяцев назад +5

      I don't think this fork is for jump or down hills. Most of those forks have warnings ⚠️ not for downhill or jumps . I got the bike assembled, so I don't know if the sticker was there. I don't think rear wheel will touch controller box because the spring has good resistance passing 3 inches and there is more space . The jumping of the curb did not bottom down for me 215lbs on fork or rear shock. Again, this is not downhill or jump bikes . This is more off road riding on fire lanes, step hill or city. You can't buy ebike for $2 with $800 + fork only.

    They have done great with the suspension. The complaints I hear with motor goat and others is that that rear suspension is always stiff.

    • @erides
      @erides  6 месяцев назад +5

      The suspension on F3 feels as similar to Revv1 DRT but with way more power under the seat with very responsive throttle. Goat bikes more for city ride and the reason it feels firmer because the different angle of the swing arm. The new Goat bikes come with 450lbs shock but due to the different angle the Ghostcat feels much softer even so its 550lbs . I can not wait to take it off road riding now

Honestly might be better off because now theyre becoming more popular. Alot of these brands start off really well and put ALOT of love and care into the first bikes and showcase bikes and sell em. then they start getting mass produced and not having enough quality control. alot of companies grow too fast these days but Ghostcat has done really well with reviews from what ive seen even still. Got my F3 yesterday. It's making the squealing braking noise in the front as well. I noticed that the disk is in constant contact with the left pads. I stop (using the rear brake) and feel the front disk. It will burn your fingers. I am going to try to find out how to adjust it. Thinking the noise is the result of all the heat. Btw, I'm 6'3" and trying to pedal is ridiculous. So far, I'm liking it and have only identified those 2 problems after the first 2 days. Hit 35 after unlocking it and got 28 miles of range from the first battery charge.

    • @erides
      @erides  5 месяцев назад +2

      those are just need adjustment as any bike when you get . its simple there are 2 bolts on calipers need to be loosen and align it so disc will be in center. you can search on YT how to adjust hydraulic brakes . If your disc is bent and touching only small part of the pads that is easy to fix as well. I have video here ruclips.net/video/rc7Up1qX1Mg/видео.html . also, you would need to search how to do brake bedding that will help to reduce all the noise. You might want to get their custom seat as it will make it 2 inches taller

    • @sooperfy
      @sooperfy 5 месяцев назад

      unfortunately thats one of the things you have to adjust regarding the brakes. Hell even my road bicycle had to be adjusted today when i pulled it out to fix the tires and pedals. I didnt have the right size but basically just have to find where the brakes are loose or need to be tightened/adjusted to get the left or right brake pad from touching wheel. i didnt have a loud squeeling noise bc road bike tires but i did hear the skimming sound. i thought it was police sirens off in the distance lol. but yeah youll just have to find a screw or something thats loose or the area and tighten it. probably got shook up during shipping or slipped past quality control

    can the fenders on this be upgraded? I'm so tempted to get the ghostcat f3 pro 1500w but them fenders are the saddest thing ive seen on an ebike in a minute. I have personally been down the rabbit hole the last 2 months of ebike reviews too to give some background. Happyrun g100, rev1, ridstar, super73, other happyrun bikes, ebkarocy or w.e., tomofree, Lectric, Narrak, Mantis, Motor Goat Bikes, even looked at surrons. Least most either have a fender or dont have a fender. Im not even sure why they put a fender like that on the bike. makes it look terrible imo. were better off not even putting a fender at that point lol.
    Personally just deciding on if its worth it to get this and then have to find fenders to put on it and then return/cancel order I have for the Movcan v30 max 1500w dual battery abike. got on amazon for $1099. Dual suspension, hydraulic brakes, LED front light and brake light with turn signals. main selling point was the first three all under $1000 with decent torque and 32 miles of speed.
    I guess my question is do you think fenders can be replaced/upgraded easily? And do you think someone 5'5 would be able to handle the bike well as a commuter? I know how to one leg stop but id rather not have to on a daily commuter. rather be able to have ability to have both feet be able to touch even tippy toe if need be.

    • @erides
      @erides  5 месяцев назад

      I would just minimize 2 choices Ghostcat F3 or Goat power bike if you want faster 40mph + .. all other bikes are not as powerful even if they can go fast they are not as good climbers .. the fenders probably can be upgraded with after market .

      @@fengzhang2062 technically both fenders are pretty much useless if the ground has any sort of wetness. obviously if its raining youll be wet anyways but riding to work after a rainy night will result in you arriving to work with wet clothes and dirt drops on clothes. Im actually cancelling the delivery of the movcan v30 max and going to get a ghostcat f3 pro. im just not looking forward to have to hunt down better fenders that are compatible.

      lmao my only true gripe about the bike from the review videos ive been watching on this bike. Grant it, it IS something that can be upgraded quite easily by looking for another pair online or looking up a bike shop near by to do it for you. that said, keep in mind its also a dirt bike. most dirt bikes dont have fenders least not like the cruiser commuter moped style bikes you see. But i still whole heartedly agree. I truly wonder why they even put fenders in all honesty...Idk if you can even say "something is better than nothing" when it looks like that.
      I almost got the bike myself. I still may even. I recently ordered a Movcan V30 Max all black 1500w dual battery ebike. $1099 on amazon. Dual suspension, hydraulic brakes led front and back light with turn signals all for around $1000 is hard to beat. I can get up to 32 (im 5'5 160-170lbs so ill be hitting the 32 lol). I just needed a commuter for work moving to DC. my trip is like 5 miles roundtrip to work and back. but i also go home on lunch to let pups out so more like 10-12 miles when commuting to work.
      Sorry for life story really just wanted to say I agree and give another personal suggestion for an ebike from someone whos been down the rabbit hole the last 2 months of reviews on bikes. started looking at 12"/14" bike/scooters. worked up to 16" and then found myself looking at moped style ebikes for $700 then $1000 and now here at a $2k bike but i just cant with the fenders. might be able to upgrade but why should i have to.
