Barry Bonds, especially in this swing has the most physical perfect power baseball swing. I have studied and written extensively about the physics of power baseball, both hitting, and pitching. Barry's swing is one of the most physically perfect baseball swings I have ever seen (analyzed using the laws of the universe that we are all slaves to). I am starting to change my mind about him being in the Hall of Fame. But I still have reservations because mechanics is not everything. Cat like reflexes, timing, and eyesight are all keener when on steroids. Couple those advantages to a physically perfect power baseball swing might give him the home run record. His impeccable power baseball swing mechanics is what made him so great, and who knows, he could have been naturally endowed with the cat like reflexes and eyesight to put him over the top without the steroids he allegedly used.
It really is a thing of art. Zero wasted movement and the force generated with his hips through the whip of the bat head. I once talked to a professional pitching coach about the toughest player to scout against, he said hands down Barry Bonds- a pitcher could make one mistake in a 3 game series and that ball is getting hit out of the park.
