I still think this is the best racing game ever made. So simple and tons of fun playing it.

most of the corners in the Advanced I shift from 2nd then 3rd to 4th. the only time I shift down to 1st, then 3rd and 4th is the corner on the top before you get to the bottom.

Perfect! Finding a rhythm that works repeatably for you is the goal; you can try to shave a tiny bit of time off any corner by shifting to first instead since it drops your speed slightly faster, but consistency and reliability is the most important thing of all to winning these races! Keep it up and good luck out there 👍

Christ Fellowship used to have this game in the old building of the Children's Ministry but, it operates only with the start button and the insert coin message not used

Guessing this was emulated on a pc, we’re you using and Xbox controller or did you have a wheel and pedals set up?

This gameplay was captured on PC using the Nebula Model 2 emulator and input was through a generic xinput gamepad with an analog stick for steering, analog triggers for throttle and brake, and four digital face buttons for selecting the four gears. The steering wheels on the original cabinets were 270 degree wheels (3/4 of a turn from lock to lock) which allowed for a simple mechanical design to make them extremely durable but still gave them a generous range of motion; while it may take some getting used to to play precisely on a tiny analog control stick, most inexpensive PC racing wheels will also be 270 degree wheels and work even better as arcade-accurate substitutes! Fancier 360 degree or multi-turn wheels might be challenging to play on due to how fast steering angles must change to navigate the corners and manage powerslides...

Wrong gear shifts. Only the downhill hairpin is 4-1-4, the rest are all 4-2-4 and at much higher speeds.

You also wrong bro.. first for advance is 2-4, then 1-4 .. then 2-4-3-4 .. you can get time for advanced 2:51 ..

@@charliewade3268 show us you getting that time.
      4-2-4-3-4 makes no real difference.
