get the wastegate actuator welded. find a welding shop near you. if you have the money then buy a new part.
part number: 04E-198-725-M
once the wastegate actuator was fix, the EPC & check engine light when off. i use a T30 with a small 1/4 drive socket wrench
At this moment in the life of my Audi Q3 this video is the best thing ever ! Thanks. Saved me $7000 Aus dollars for a new turbo.
I'm glad this video was able to save you some money. Thank you for leaving a comment.

I'm glad I could help you. Thank you for the positive feedback
Yo…. This video saved me at least $600.. I appreciate you!!
you are very welcome, do something good for someone else and keep that good karma going. have a blessed day...
Saved me tons!
Thank you so much bro you saved me
you're very welcome
THAT CODE JUST POPPED UP FOR ME ... I HOPE THIS WORKS !
good luck
Unbelievable footage, great camera angles and clarity. Thank you so much, I was apprehensive, now I'm sure I can handle the repair. Question, should I lubricate the rod before reinstalling it?
thank you for comment and no need for lubrication.
Sameee I feel capable of doing this now lol
Epic video, is your car still running fine or did it break again?
the car is still running fine.
Being that you're using the same actuator do you still need to take it to a shop/dealer to have it calibrated or whatever they do when u replace it?
no, no need to calibration
I was going to ask this as well. I guess if you use the same unit it should be ok.
See mines throwing the same code but it's not broken. When my epc light and or check engine light comes on i loose boost and it drives like shit but if the lights are off it drives perfectly fine
@@ethanpowell9437 when the lights are off? 🤔
@@kemisthekid8782 the epc light and check engine light
@ethanpowell9437 it sounds like the actuator itself might be damaged, or maybe the rod is getting stuck?
Just a question. At 7:20 in the video when you’re pulling out the damaged actuator the rod looks ok ?
the rod was already welded but I was trying to demonstrate how to take it out.
This just happened to my daughters car, going to have it welded also. Is the rod aluminum and have to be welded by aluminum welder? Thanks in advance.
the welder would know exactly what to do and how to weld it together. I don't know if it's aluminum but the welder will make it stronger so won't break again.
I’m about to make the same repair I’m a professional weldor 5years stainless or carbon steel most likely stainless if anything use a mixed rod to weld it can promise u it’s not aluminum the housing is for sure.
No sound ?
I don’t know what exactly he did, no sound
A turbo need to be able to breath air, he took off a sensor for a turbo waste gate and rewelded the actuator so it properly release excess pressure
no sound brotha
i did that on purpose. just wanted to show how i fix the issue.
