    Hi all, heres a place I can now tick off my bucket list, Innsbruck has been on my to do list for some time and I wish I had visited sooner. The place is stunning, especially for plane spotting! In my opinion Innsbruck Airport offers some of the best views of planes in Europe. As you will notice in the video, the airport is located in a valley situated around high altitude mountains in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Typically winds vary alot here so either approaches are in use, while I was there only one plane landed on Runway 08, the rest departed and landed on 26, however either approach offers some stunning scenery with the snow topped mountains.
    Albeit Innsbruck isn't as good for variety compared to places like Salzburg, the scenery does make up for it. Saturday's, the day I visited on is the ski charter day, or the best day of the week for movements here. Particularly during the morning hours, I spent 3 hours on the free observation deck at the airport and caught quite a few movements in that time. I would of stayed longer however I also wanted to venture into the city - which was also beautiful
    Movements include: TUI 737 and 757's, Thomas Cook A321's, Transavia 737's, SAS 737's and A321, BRA Avro RJ100, British Airways A320, Eurowings 737, Easyjet A320, Austrian E195 and Dash 8's and a couple of private jets.
    Not a lot in terms of variety as I said, but it was still interesting to see these aircraft amazingly pilot in and out of this spectacular airport, one i certainly will be coming back to
    I hope you enjoy this video, and if you do feel free to hit the like button and subscribe if you're new

    Excellent plane spotting. This is one of the best airports i have seen you spotted from Casey and the reason i say that is because of the incredible view of the snow covered mountain top that gives a great backdrop to the planes when they are arriving and departing especially when they are departing. It almost look like the planes are climbing the mountain side when they are departing.

    Really great shots from a very special and unique airport in Europe!
    Like the breathtaking background of INN!
    Eurowings D-ABKM is one of seven leased B737-800 from TUIfly and already has the modified color scheme of Eurowings (no more grey on the engines and rump).
    Thanks for this special and gorgeous video, Casey!
    Best regards from Germany!

    I agree---the location is one of the best. As far as aircraft mix I did not mind a bit; I get tired of seeing jumbo after jumbo. This video highlights the workhorses of the air transportation industry.

    What surprised me about this was that SAS has a big presence at this airport.

      Here is the reason! Scandinavians LOVE and I don't mean just love they LOVE skiing and trekking especially in the winter season and SAS shuttles those who wish to Ski in the alps down there, and trust me there is a lot. In the winter especially around Easter you see so so many skibags at OSL

    Another great film the views are lovely ver scenic. I never spotted any Maxx planes on your video as they are grounded and that’s the way I want it till the families find out what happened to their loved ones it would be dangerous and disrespectful

      Don't think they'll be flying until July at the earliest

    • @elaineblackhurst1509
      @elaineblackhurst1509 5 лет назад +1

      Casey Planespotting even in July I’lnever go on one ever.I saw a pilots video he said they had just 56 minutes training on an I pad no simulator training at all on a new aircraft scary stuff. I think the less we know the better.I see some big law siutes forBoeing ahead
      It often takes decades for an airline to recover and build back people’s trust sadly one plane down was terrible 2 is unfathomable and newaircraft cannot fall out the sky it’s impossible aircrafts can glide without fuel even for awhile I believe so something very wrong was in the design of this aircraft.ithink the poor pilot had virtually no time to do anything its so unjust people trying to blame him
      The fault lies at the top FAA and Boeing end of story

    I'm sure this is a very dumb question but: If the Boeing 737s aren't capable of flying overseas, how does Boeing get them from their factories to Airlines outside of the US?

    • @lukesmith1277
      @lukesmith1277 5 лет назад +5

      Who ever said boeing 737s aren't able to fly overseas? Airlines fly them directly from Boeing factories in Seattle to airlines in Europe, if its anywhere past Europe they need to stop for fuel

    • @CPlanespotting
      @CPlanespotting  5 лет назад +1

      If you're referring to the 737 MAX, they are currently grounded until further notice, so I believe until the grounding is lifted no MAX's will be delivered.

    • @elaineblackhurst1509
      @elaineblackhurst1509 5 лет назад +3

      Casey Planespotting I would be perfectly happy if no Maxx ever flew over British skies again.Too many lives lost and I believe US Congress is looking into why the FAA allow Boeing to do its own aircraft certification on new planes no checks and balances.
      I am in love with the new Airbus Neo cannot wait to get on this magical plane it’s got everything and 20years younger than the Maxx
      I think our CAA are totally transparent and ethical and as a nervous flier I have full faith in flying with their oversight over our industry
