Def. the coolest thing i have seen a in a while. Trust me if I had the money i would buy it in a heartbeat, the boat is beautiful. Maybe someday I will own one would be a cool center piece for a table. Although it is kinda big lol.
Hi glade you like the steam launch, the kettle is a "windermere kettle," , the spiral is a small dia copper tube pipe up to the blow down valve on the boiler, so , when turned on, hot steam/ water "flash steam" rushers through the pipe to boil the water in side the kettle.the "flash steam/ water goes out into the pond, distiled water is used so no cotaminates enter the pond water.
I have posted a vid of my mamod sp6 steam fan quite happy with, but I'm really interested in the triple expansion engine..I'll have to save up a bit more for that..great fun
Roy Burton hi there I have a few vids, one is mamod steam fan. I do have a single cylinder marine engine and boiler lined up just need the cash now can't wait.👍
Being a beginner to the live steam modeling hobby I have a question, what are you doing 1:29 - 2:11 in this video? What is the purpose? Beautiful launch!

i find these sought of films really interesting im so amazed at the boat and its engine, But it would of been really nice if you would of spoke and exsplaind things about the whole setup, very Good but frustraiting on the Silent film.
@TheScorpion1706 Hi, point taken, but I have moved on now, !!!! I am now building a Topaz steam launch, take a look with speaking, !!!! thanks for your interest,
nice boat man, but why didn't you build in the engine (the cylinders mainly) on an angle? like this you'd lose a bit of energie to friction during it's running time. and what source of fuel for powering it did you use?
