The differences between English street culture and American street culture always intrigues me when i watch videos like this. Crooks here in England seem to go to jail more often, but for shorter stays, while you American crooks (gangsters and criminals) get phenomenally long sentences for crimes which wouldn't even warrant a quarter of the jail time here. Things like the Californian Gang enhancements, and 3 strikes laws, for example, are fucking unbelievable, and my balls shrink when I think what kinda stretch I'd be doing if I was in Cali during my 20's, when i was slinging and doing other shit.
We dont have guns here, which makes house burglaries our most common crime for repeat offenders, but still, if you get caught selling darks and lights (heroin and crack) in england, on street corners, then you'd probably end up with 2-4 years, doing half in jail and half on probation, but what would you get in U.S? im guessing, probably between 4-15 yrs, depending on which state?

If its aimed or it hits someone, youre doing fifteen upwards, but murder with a firearm is a mandatory minimum of 35 to life. murder with a knife is 25 upwards, and murder without a weapon is usually 15 upwards.
third strike burglars get a mandatory min. of 3yrs. 2nd strike drug supply is 7 upwards.

People need to understand that millennial gang members of today in and around L.A. are not restrained by color lines in their day to day lives. Bloods wearing blue and Crips wearing red is common now. This generation cares more about fashion trends & having a fastidious approach to the upkeep of their personal appearance, grooming and fashionable clothing choices. A lot of my out of state friends who talk to me about L.A. still think that its the Los Angeles of the 1980’s and 1990’s. You should still be cautious with colors to a degree but is largely irrelevant.
