Very interesting. I would like to know which commentaries you recommend as a daily “go to”. Have you made a video about them?

I heard ... I think it was Dan Wallace give a similar hypothesis for the origin of Matthew, except he suggested that the final Gospel of Matthew was compiled by someone else but was seen as "Matthew's gospel" because it relied on Matthew's original work, which in his view was probably something like "Q".

Could you review the IVP Bible Background commentary, Ot and Nt. 👍
I have the Oxford Companion to the bible, Customs and Manners of the bible by James Freeman, plus my study bible and zondervan bible dictionary. I'm wondering if these would be good additions to my resource library.
    Please and Thank You.

22:25 so...(.according to recent archeological finds) It's ok for a group of women to pay for a mosaic floor to be installed in the church. But, its not ok for them to be elders? Sound quite similar to Jesus' warning about the Pharisees. 😅😂😅

The thing of rewards......... I do believe there will be rewards after the resurrection at Christ's second coming when His Kingdom is being fully established here on earth. The rewards is tied to ruling and reigning with Him here on earth , parable with master and servants who recieves money,

Like yourself and Christians, I’m extremely CAUTIOUS when it comes to interpreting Scripture. Having a number of individuals exegeting the text in an orthodox manner offers a more complete, in-depth perspective and understanding.
I do struggle with Calvinist teachings, but believe we need to stand with such believers where they are, as we too would wish for such GRACE…even when they do not believe we all should be offered such a gift. Secondly, the misogynistic approach is highly offensive and sets a dangerous president for abuse (I am a therapist who works with CHILD ABUSE victims and their abusive predators), as we all have gifts and attributes that are our strengths…deterring or opposing that which God blessed us with, just to have a dogmatic masculine leash placed on us to reign us in whenever we are disagreed with…which is in opposition to serve the Lord in our most fullest and beautiful capacity of which HE deems righteous! Personally, I could never believe in a creator who is so small minded, misogynistic and retributionary, as it completely contradicts that our father and Lord are the definition of LOVE!
There is a congregation of The Church of Laodicea where I currently live, and they certainly push Eaton’s strong view of the early church in Laodicea. Sadly, they don’t confirm the CREEDS, nor hold to an orthodox Trinitarian interpretation, rather they lean towards a unitarian perspective. It’s truly disturbing to know such “sheep in wolves clothing” is becoming increasingly mainstream!
    Many Blessings!❤xx

The Bible is a collection of the written thoughts of of ancient Hebrews describing their lives, beliefs and rituals. I read some of it out of curiosity but couldn't get past the contradictions.

Calvinism carried through to its logical conclusion makes God into a moral monster.
I know Calvinists deny this, but God cannot exhaustively and meticulously determine everything and not be the author of evil.
I'm sorry, but this just can't be chalked up to mystery.

They misunderstand God's relationship to time. God clearly has foreknowledge. But, his foreknowledge of the elect comes from the end, not the beginning.
