Man I went to sequoia and did all the touristy stuff cause I didn't know paces like these even existed in the park ! The waterfall you found man that's EPIC! Gonna definitely head back, any tips on how to find it ?
Yea, I've been here and done most of the tourist stuff, now it's on to exploring more hard to get places. If you look around wishing campground area, the swimming hole shouldn't be hard to find.
@@Michael_Tran Thanks, I'll check it out! I think we're gonna go take the Burns Canyon Road (2N02) this weekend (a trail from Pioneertown to Big Bear) One question, are there a lot of people at the campsites? Just curious..
Great video! From OC as well. Do you have the info for that off-road trail you took? Also, if you have the info of that area where you fished at would be great as well. Me and the family are headed their next month.
Nice bro! The campground is called Wishon campground and the trail was near the Needle trailhead. Not sure the exact name of that OHV trail but my coordinate should be on the video. Have fun next month, love the Sequoia.
Dude, I've lived in the Central Valley for over 20 years. I've never seen any of the places that you just showed 😳 i own a 2002 Tacoma pre runner and I just assumed that my truck would not be able to handle those trails. Where did you find the information about these trails?
@@Michael_Tran thank you SO much. Hey, if you're ever wanting to come back up this way, message me on messenger. I'd love to meet up and trail with ya.
Not sure what the name of it is...we just happened to see people down there and follow them down. Its near the Wishon campground. Should be easy to find if you follow the river near the campground.
@@Michael_Tran That part of the video got me. Will plan to find that place the next time I go visit. If you can give any more info on where that location might be, it would be much appreciated.
This is on my day trip plan for 2022.
Nice! Should be a lot more water this year
Yosemite is super neat and accessible also. Bring along walking shoes!
Nice! I’m going to have to take the kids here
Cool. I visit Lake Isabella a lot and never thought of going further up. Thanks for the video and ideas.
Yea,theres..some..cool..area.
How could you not man it just gets better the further you go up
@@TalesoftheScales i had a mustang at the time and i wasn’t into off-roading. This is a new hobby to me.
@@TalesoftheScales I agree, people kinda stick around the Kern River area for some reason
Awesome man thanks for sharing. Can't wait to take my Taco out there 🤙
thanks. its an awesome area
Love the video!! The Taco is such a capable platform no mater what the drive train.
I agree
2wd is pretty capable with enough driver skill but you should always have another rig or recovery gear 🤙
I agree...2WD can do it until it can't and then you need to be prepare.
Great video!
Thank you
Nice job Michael 👍
Thank you : )
Great video! Where was that swimming hole you found at the end? I have an almost two year old son. Can’t wait to go out there with him!
It's nearby the campground but I forgot the exact location. It's not hard to find I don't think
@@Michael_Tran thank you!
Nice video! I’m from Bakersfield and go to that area several times every year. You should check out the Nelson Trail at the end of Camp Nelson Dr.
Love that area. Sweet, ill definitely check it out next time iam there. Thanks for the recommendation.
Michael Tran this site has details on the Nelson Trail and others in the area.

@@brettoetting ill check it out. Thanks
Enjoy your vids! Can you recommend some bait and lures you used for the Kern? Beginner fisher here :)
I've just used a small black fly for the smaller one. The bigger one I used a pink rat tail bought from Dick's sporting good.

Great video man thanks for it thanks did you have to air down to have many pounds thanks again
Not that trail, it's pretty packed. So no worries about getting stuck
Thanks for the answer
Hey, from SoCal! Great content and RWD goodness! I definitely need to take our Tacoma out on trails more often. Any good places?
Hey there, yes, take that Taco out to see some trails. Santiago Peak is an easy one in SoCal. Check out that video

@@fishtacoma At the campground we stayed at there wasn't as much.
I'll be camping at wishon this June, I hope they allow bonfires 🤞
I know...we didn't have a bonfire that time. Kinda suck but understandable. A propane fire pit would be a good idea to have

Where is the last place you camped at?? The place where it shows you jumping into the water lol
Its actually not a camping spot, just a random spot we found while on our way heading home. It was along our campground.

Thanks man. Its a super capable truck even stock, but a small lift and tires make a whole difference. I look the trail up on AllTrail app.

Unfortunately no, it's a 2wd TRD Sport. It does have LSD. It helps in certain situation.

It's actually part of the Tule River

I don't remember exactly, but it's near Wishon campground and called the slide.

It's called Wishon Campground. Recreation.gov can get you a reservation.

How do you get to the swimming hole?
It's along the Kern River? Not sure what area it is, we just stumble upon it. Someone said it's call the Slide?
