The U.S style, of this is not that diffrent between the european ones are. But instead of having just one hook, we have it on each side of the container at the end. Also, one other thing.. the locking for that dumpster on the truck, makes me feel.. strange, ive never seen so simple locking for a dumpster that can jump out if the load of the dumpster is heavy enough when being compressed. And yes, i am a former driver myself, so ive been doing that plenty of times. This size is normal in Europe :) We have the sizes 8 and 10 kubikkmeter of this type of containers. It was alot more of them around, before the undergroundbins came around. Now its a mix between 2-4 wheel bins, undergroundbins (with a crane) and those dumpsters really that is in the works. If the costumer has a hook-lift container though.. normaly a 35kbm or a 40kbm container :)
I did emty one of those, within 3-5min :) Depending of the load and how the waste-build is made. Some of them is automaticaly pressing the waste, some builds do you need too do it all manualy (as shown here..) and some other trucks, in europe, you can only press the botton ones and it keeps unloading the dumpster :)
I dont know but I don’t think front loaders would be able to pick up such a large container. And probably having to get smaller containers to fit the front loader would cost the place that has the dumpster more.
Theres a new concept in the trash business So they use the concept of "Trash Recepticle Using Managed Pick-up Services To Empty Rubbish" Hey that makes the acronym TRUMPSTER
your title is misleading. Those are normal size dumpsters, not giant. At the building where I live (in Copenhagen, Denmark) we've got a 25 cubic meter dumpster for all the stuff that's too big to go into the recycle bins - there is a size limit of the trash and it must be flammable as it goes to the incinerator. Between all the buildings here we have about 1000 units (apartments) that have to share the same trash system, so it used to have to be emptied one a month. A couple years ago we had to start splitting our trash into many more recycling groups, so the big dumpster isn't used as much and typically only has to be emptied a few times a year. The garbage truck that comes to empty it is a rather impressive 5 axle beast, but the ones we use to empty bins that way here are far safer than this American truck - we got hooks on each of the rear corners and the hydraulic lift on the truck to keep the dumpster locked in. Even when the bin is fully loaded and heavy the truck's able to move it like it weighs nothing
@@TruckMaster642 You obviously never worked for them. Horrible company that doesn't care about it's workers in the slightest. They use you up and thrown you away like the trash you pick up. Don't even get me started on the poor maintenance of the trucks.
Meant like pick it up. I’ve seen companies pick up and others not guess it depends on the company and driver if they only take what’s in the dumpster and not the stuff around it.
Imagine pouring down raining in the cold like 35 degrees you get sick then when you call in saying your not going to make it or run out of days then it's a problem they wanna fire you then plus the pay is not enough like they pay commercial truck drivers like front load or roll off residential outs up with a lot but makes less

I've seen those winches on trucks but never knew what they were for. Cool find.

I always liked working on the Garbage truck with the cylinder on top instead of the winch it was much faster
Agreed
Jesus, who came up with this system? It takes forever...
That looks like a slow painful way of doing it lol
Definitely slower than a front load but I think there was wires or something so it’s got to be rear load

Poor design on the dumpster for sure
The guys working made it look slow
My county is full of these wierd rear loading dumpsters with few exceptions here and there
This seems very inefficient compared to front loaders
I agree. But there’s probably a reason it’s still rear load at this specific conplex

@@TruckMaster642 No problem.

Legal o caminhão de lixo pega resto do vasculante não sabia que faz estes serviços também
I agree this is my first time seeing this design and I don't think it's very productive.
I done that same job for many years by myself
Very inefficient!
WM safe rules you guys need hardhats
Every district is different
Great find!
Thank you
Poor driver can probably pack only 2 of those bins when they are full
Maybe I’m not to sure
It’s recycling he can prob do 20-30 depending on his hydraulic settings
Only in Massachusetts will they still use 8-10 yd rearload cans. Smh.
West Carroll Parish, Louisiana uses them too.
The dumpster is big but the truck makes it look like a tiny bin , that truck is MASSIVE.
True
@@TruckMaster642 A REAL BYTCH TO GO UP A STEEP STREET
Jidging by the stuff beside the bin, 30 pervent of what was in the bin was regular garbage
Get convicts to sort it out.
Why no reversing sound?
Maybe it's broken
Whatever works !
I wonder if they got the stuff laying on the sides
Na most of it was trash

wow, those are huge
the level of litter is insane :/
Ya they are
And the really crazy thing is how the truck makes it look like a tiny residential can , the truck is massive.
What about all the junk that's sitting around those
Dumster's???? Is there some crew that comes to
pick up all that stuff????
Not their job, they just empty them. Ground around is the customers responsibility.
Not sure but it wasn’t technically recycle so they didn’t take it
In what state and city was this in
