Bit late to your podcast and therefore the comment 😅 but we took our 10 and 9 year old (both autistic) abroad for first time this year to Ibiza (Seaview Holiday Village) all inclusive. So you may imagine how nervous we were and worried about the level of fussiness that we deal with 🙈 Went there a few times child free over 10 years ago and the choice of food is now so vast. They have a kids section with coloured divider plates, self service for the kids. My youngest who has a really difficult diet and habits really responded well to this. Paid extra for a swim up room because my kids (and husband) 😅 don’t like being round lots of noise and people in general 🙈 Lots to do in hotel and locally also. Beach right next door with water sports. Water park also next door inclusive. Plus it was a quick 2.5hr flight. Hope that helps!
Social media definitely contributes to modern anxiety about your house. But I think you're underestimating standards of respectability way back when - in working-class houses, let alone fancier Victorian homes. I think it's always been the same (with variations) to be honest.
Really good watch and trust me your not alone on most points !

PS You come across as a really warm and friendly couple. Not surprised about all the positive reactions!
