EXCELLENT VIDEO. The best I've seen on these points (& I've watched many). Clear directions giving great understanding! You have a great teaching gift! God Bless U
Oklahoma make a pretty good video The contrast differentiated the tree branches from the grass background and the photo guy got in close to show the pruning a staid back to show the trees before and after . AUDIO WAS GOOD AS WELL WITH NO INTERFERRING MUSIC
I"m living in MN (zone 4 B). I got some Asian pear trees. I watched a lot of clips about pruning. I'm confusing about that. What's different between summer pruning and winter pruning? which one for more fruit and which one for shape
amazing video! This is so helpful! I'm having some difficulty finding those metal posts that help push branches a part. My local nursery didn't know what I was talking about either. Can someone post a link where I can purchase some?
These can be found online by searching tree limb spreaders. There are several versions out there that are wooden, metal, and even plastic. We encourage that you purchase the set that will meet your needs the best!
I'm searching all over the internet and I can't find a single example of a metal adjustable one as you showed. Could you give some more specific advice ? thank you ! EDIT: I guess I was dreaming, because I watched again and it didn't seem like you showed any metal spreaders that were adjustable, or did I miss it?

+chavon avis I'm attaching a link to a Fact Sheet all about pruning fruit trees which will help answer your question and hopefully set the story straight. Thanks for watching! pods.dasnr.okstate.edu/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-1022/HLA-6228web2015.pdf
I just purchased 3 peach trees. I have always planted trees and shrubs in the fall. These trees are all 5+ feet tall. Should I cut out the middle and leave 3 to 4 lower branches ... spreader branches????

The problem with that tree is its excessive vigour, apart from the ridiculously narrow-angled branches that have been allowed to grow from the main trunk.
Wow, I learned more in 10 minutes about pruning than in the previous 5 years. Very well explained.
Wow.. the best video I"ve found so far on limb spreading is this one from 1988 !
+Doug Funk We have a few throwbacks on this channel! Thanks for watching!

Well presented! Thank you for showing those hard to handle cuts. Also, appreciated the open center trimming and thoughts.
Thank you for your expertise.

How long do the limbs need to be tied down? A whole year? more? less? I'm guessing I'll be able to tell when They've been trained well enough.

what kind of tree was the first one?
Where can one get W anchor tool?

I consider it tree torcher! For fruit trees I'm pro torcher and just made a video on this very subject as well! Maybe not as eloquent!
Great video!

i'd rather like to see that peach tree now, 20 years on..
품종이 뭐예요?
👍👍👍👍
LMAO Using a simple tent stake or Piece of wood driven into the ground and tired does the job, no need for all that fancy stuff.
I feel like I came out of this video a better person
+kendo512 What a feeling! Thanks for watching!
