Thanks for the video. There's a significantly large (for the Caribbean) community of Chinese-Dominicans and Japanese-Dominicans in the Dominican Republic. The Chinese-Dominican population is the oldest, look up the Barrio Chino Dominicano. The Puerto Rican comic book artist Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez introduced a Chinese-Dominican character named Lauren “La La” Liu.

I don't think there's as much Carribbean inspired sushi because most Caribbean folks live on the East Coast and Asians live on the West Coast. The majority of Latinos on the West Coast are Mexican or Central American.
Andrew Shiah actually there are a lot of asians in the Dominican Republic, the majority Chinese, they have a chinatown in Santo Domingo (the capital) they sell their food, clothes and much more.
