Just joined this channel, great, great, stuff. Never owned a really decent camera even though my dad was a pro. Just got myself XT5 with the 16-55 lens. Best.
You will love that combo. A tad on the heavy side but if it works for you enjoy!
I’ve been using CC on my x100f with everything on auto/default except an auto white balance shift of +1 red -1 blue and shadow + 1 and -1 highlight. I just use the exposure compensation for the mood I’m going for

Thanks Kirk! I will often shoot Classic Chrome but never modified it. I'd be curious if you use/modify other Fuji film simulations. Perhaps some other video ideas if you do.
Thanks Steve! So many people have messed around with recipes I might be copying someone without knowing but I will check into it and try some out. Likely candidates are Astia and Acros R, Nostalgic Neg. I need to get out and shoot some more.

All of these recipes were done on the xt5
Nice discussion. I think I am going to give your recipe a trial on my X-T30. Lots of colorful Buddhist temples here in Thailand 🇹🇭 to test it out. Not sure if you have a favorite monochrome recipe - I like Acros-R + a CPL for really dramatic renditions - to share. That would make for another interesting video. Thanks!
Bruce - if it’s the xt30 ll it will work fine. The older model I have some settings are not available. I have some ideas I want to try with Acros -R. Again a minimalist approach only using the tone curve controls and other contrast based controls.
@@KirkWilliamsonphotography I have the model I X-T30 which does lack some things, but it does have chrome simulation. I won’t be able to do 1.5 for instance, but 1 or 2 I can do. No tone curve (shucks), but good to have what I have as it is hard to come by at this time.
with my xt4, i have to leave clarity on 0 or the camera occupies the buffer with each shoot.
Yes the xt5 shuts off clarity in continuous shutter
