Ok guys here's the personalities of the characters:
Ruby (red) - is a tunsdere and secretly loves to sing, she gets EXTRA embarrassed when she gets complimented, and she's a brave character that's never back down on a competition. And a hot-headed and also stubborn
Auburn (orange) - is a sweet and dense character. She's also very friendly to others. She's really good at acting and wants to become an actor someday
Amber (yellow) - is a smart and very sweet character. She is very skilled at cooking. She is very out-going. And she loves to read in her free time
Jade (green) - is a very rude and lazy character. She loves to sits on the couch all day and watch tv or play video games. She loves leaving mess anywhere around with makes Amber annoyed of her sometimes. She loves playing the bass guitar
Sapphire (light blue) - is the youngest deredere of the group. She's so sweet and cute, she'll makes your heart melt. She loves sweets and cute things. When she grows up, she wants to own a toy store
Lilac (purple) - is a dandere. She's REALLY shy and won't talk unless she knows someone like Auburn. She likes cute animals. She's also friendly, but she just to shy to show it. She wants to fall in love someday

what are color ocs anyway?
"oc" means original character, so its not a real person / character, its original and made up. and its his or hers. and its colors so it could be him or her in colors, or it can be what he or her thinks the colors personality's would be.

This video is soooo nostalgic to me, because when i was like 9 or 10 y/o i used to watch this video a lot in my dad's phone whenever i could. I had some type of obsetion with watching speedpaints as a kid, so finding this video got me crying. The ocs' desing its so cool, later the final drawing looks so great even 5 years later!
I was obsessed with watching them too. This video is actually the thing that got me started drawing my characters! I actually used this base to draw the first iterations of them. I still have these ocs to this day and finalized their designs from the tiny Chibis 😂
People don't get the point of bases..
- they can be used for beginners who don't fully understand the human body
- they don't have the time to draw out the full body AND line it
-it can teach you how bodies work if you use them oftenly

This video was actually one of the main reasons I started art to begin with, I watched this video when I was like 10 years old and decided to use this base in MSPaint to make my own characters..
7 years later, I’m using those characters to make a webcomic, and pursuing character design as a career! Thank you for inspiring me

I have two suggestions for you!
One: Try using FireAlpaca, or at least something better than M.S Paint.
Two: It seems you can draw hair well, so I'm assuming you could draw your own characters and not use a base? Maybe try to draw the bodies on your own. ;3

Okay, but bases don't help in any way. In fact, it lessens your ability to learn how to draw properly. If she wants to draw anime, she should learn and not use bases.

Well she's obviously been on RUclips for a while, and still uses the excuse that she's trying to learn. I'm wondering if she's actually trying to learn all these years or if she's just not putting any effort.

***** ah. Sorry XD I'm WAA-HAY-HAAAY behind in anime, so far I've only watched SAO and Fairy Tale, (or is it Fairy Tail? I am not so sure..)

I think you did a fantastic job on this! I would be really interested in seeing this done without the base, especially considering how far your art style has come. Wonderful job with the hair and general style too; I can tell so much about them just based on their facial expressions, clothing, etc.! You are very skilled at being expressive in your art, and watching your most recent creations really shows that, and it even really comes out here.
Also, I must say, you really show that MSpaint can be used well! There is a lot of stigma against it considering how tempting it is to some to just use the circle, box, and line tools, but it is made clear by your art that it can be used to create really well-made pieces if used correctly. Overall fantastic job!

Ok gunna go on a little rant about the ppl commenting here
1. Apparently using a base automatically makes you a bad artist
2. Using ms paint makes it cringe because logic
3. Using the line tool is illegal (even tho she sketches the hair out first
4. Compliments are also illegal since ppl keep saying "she used a base" and "she used the line tool"
5. You guys can't shut up over the base link (EVEN THO ITS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DESCRIPTION

bases helped me on certain things but i feel like people who still use them should start to not use bases in speedpaints
She gave credit, and the title says speedbase and not speedpaint so she isn’t claiming it to be a full speed paint but a base edit. Although I wouldn’t suggest only using bases, as long as it is credited and you maybe practise your own figures then I don’t find bases too annoying

If you say “using bases gets you nowhere” then you should get common sense. Using bases helps them and not do devilish scribbles. Then when they’re really good, they should remember how the shape of the base is and probably “make their own base” and just go. YOU should realize this and I used to use bases and now I’ve improved without bases in like a year.
I'm still using bases. Granted, I'm using my tablet and I only have one drawing app on it. I drew the background of a room in the SCP foundation pretty well using it, though, so I think I'm improving. I can't draw a person though and I'm shaky TwT

You're a really good artist! I can tell you will go far. You know where to shade, how to make colors not clash, how to do nice line art. Now all you need to do is to practise body's and anatomy, therefore you'll no longer need bases! Good job btw.

you need to get a better program to draw on. Paint.net is free and a lot better than paint. it's not the best but it's better.
I used to own that program, it's gone now and I can't download it back because it's a virus threat to my computer ^^"
