SE3 is like the basic iPad 8 and 9. From year to year, the processor and RAM in the old corus are slightly updated. I think it's not bad. The sun has been shining for billions of years and no one says that it is in an outdated design )))
I like that it still has the home button. I have the 12 pro and it is so effing frustrating without the button. The assistive touch icon is also annoying that it covers certain buttons and options in programs.
I couldn’t agree more… 😂 But remember, it’s not what you want for newer iPhone models if you aren’t the CEO of Apple. It’s the current CEO of Apple of what they want. 😉
@@tobias9031 Sure, the 2016 iPhone SE, essentially an iPhone 6S in the body of an iPhone 5S. I’ll give you that, but not the later SE models. I have the 2020 SE and sometimes I can’t reach the top of the screen without using Reachability or adjusting grip. With the 13 mini, I don’t have that issue.
@@TransferPoint9346 I can’t reach the entire screen with my thumb when using the 13 mini. It’s just not possible to reach the screen of a 5.4 inch display one-handed. On my SE 2022 it works easily without any finger gymnastic. Besides, the rounded ergonomic edge feels more pleasant in hand.
Could you actually test the battery life, durability, and water resistance? I already know what Apple's marketing says. It would be nice to see a review of the Night Mode camera as well, since that is a major feature that the 13 and 13 Mini both have, but the SE 3 lacks. My late iPhone 7 for instance also claimed "Water resistant to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes" and this was not true at all. It didn't survive even partial submersion of 3cm for 5 seconds.
If Apple decide to stay with ‘only’ two rear lenses (for their mid-range phones) then I think a telephoto lens would be much more useful than an ultra wide angle lens.
Just upgraded from the XS to a Product Red 13 Mini. I knew I was swapping my XS this year, as it's about to lose the latest iOS, but its battery health (or lack of it) hastened the upgrade. Using a bumper and MagSafe grip - not a fan of full cases - and have already got myself quite a few MagSafe accessories. These include a portable charging stand that I can use on the go, and to trigger Standby Mode when I'm home. This ‘Mini’ has the same footprint as my iPhone 7 - how things have changed! Thanks, as always, for the content.
thank you for lining the phones up beside each other so you can compare the size of the phones. I have been trying to find that, just trying to decide whether the 13 is too much bigger then my iPhone 7.
As an update to a comment I made here last year....Ironically as a first time Apple user, I bought the SE3 as I could not get my head around the £250 price difference. Gonna upgrade to that red mini when the price drops after the release of the 15 (cos that color is sick).
Hey nice job on the comparison it’s say the only thing I would disagree with you on is you started this video talking about mid range to low side and I think the iPhone 13 at $830 unlocked and then when you add tax to that you’re almost up to $900 so I wouldn’t call that a mid range phone.
Thanks for the explanation. 👍🏾 I think I’m going to go for the SE over my iPhone 13. It’s a downgrade, but my budget say’s different, especially via Xfinity it’s free! If I decide to switch, I will miss my 1phone 13’s GBs, color, battery life, and double camera. 😩 Will I have to change my usb cords again?
Just bought the SE coming from the 7 plus that broke last week. It’s good… but if I didn’t get this I would have probably gotten the 13 pro max 1TB like we got for my daughter. I don’t really take pictures so that would have been a waste of money other than the screen size and battery. $479 vs $1600… especially when a better one will come out later this year.
wait they all were benchmarked at different dates. wouldnt it be a fair comparison if the all were updated at the same time to have a more accurate benchmark
I am a basic user and went from the old Android Nokia to an SE3. Same size screen so suits me fine. I bought an an I pad mini 4 from ebay to get used to iOS. Works great, good battery life and everything works. Will get the new se which is rumoured to be the now discontinued 13 mini.
Unfortunately it‘s more likely that it will have the design of the iphone xr, meaning that it will be bigger. You can find a couple of articles onöine about that rumor.
IP rating is just what the phone has been tested to, it has nothing to do the the actual water resistance. Any anything with a hole is just water resistant not waterproof. This does not account for higher pressures below very big depths of water.
Have a friend who when he retires soon is moving to a third world country, because he did not save enough to live comfortably in the US . He always likes having things like the latest phones with all the bells and whistles. I on the other hand think that spending the kind of money people spend on phones and plans is insanity personified. I’m also retired and living comfortable in the US.
I get why people want that but I would honestly hate it because I only like I phones with home buttons. I think it would be really cool if they kept the home button but some how managed to slim the bezels down tho!
4:28 That’s one of the major downsides to the iPhone SE 3rd gen compared to nearly EVERY OTHER phone in its price range; an LCD screen isn’t the end of the world, the resolution though is like we’re 2013… And the design does NOT hold up in 2022… The only market I would suggest this iPhone to are those who have an iPhone that doesn’t use Face ID and who prefer a home button over using gestures (like older people who might not be as good with technology). Not to mention, while the software support is good, and amazing for the price, you’ll almost want to upgrade for a better screen and design alone…
I am really enjoying my SE3. I am so happy that there was a phone that I could afford that would give me a basic, high quality iOS experience. I do not mind the home button, the LCD retina display screen looks great and the camera features are satisfactory for me because I only do basic photos and video recording. I also like that I do not have to compromise on performance since the phone uses the A15 , has 5G and 4gig of RAM. I suspect that I will have this phone for awhile and I hope Apple continues the SE range for users like me.
@@cameronbosch1213 For me that would have been starting at 128gig storage instead of 64gig which would increase the longevity of the phone and including "night mode" for the camera because they added Deep Fusion, Photo.Styles, HDR4 ....so why leave off "night mode" ?
Well the design is outdated but the lcd display is still better than the 1080p lcd's other phones use. But still 60hz and outdated design makes it hard to recommend when competitors have 120hz oled screens
I just traded my 12 Pro Max for a 2022 SE. I would recommend the upgrade program for those that need the latest technology. I have not had any battery issues. I would recommend using the low power mode if you are concerned about battery longevity.

वाह !!
Excellent comparison 👍
Face ID is nice, but touch ID shouldn't have been dropped. Fingerprint reader is really nice. SE has it, should have it on the others too!

@@willmrt It’s still worth it, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When holding them in the hand, the _iPhone 13 mini_ is the best-feeling of the three. It's also best for one-handed operation.
Wrong. The SE is better for one handed use because you can reach the entire screen with your hand .
But Mini cant

I have never understood why color matters. We have to use a case anyway. Color is always blocked and nobody ever sees it.
many people rock it caseless or with a clear case to show off the phone’s color.
A lot of people use clear cases
