Thank you! But, I don’t have the photographic memory for sure. I just remember it because I practiced over and over again!! Btw I’m rarely called “T” but I like it. Thanks.
Tucker the Gas Mask great great great super sonic. There you have it. You captured the Most Famous drummer of all time Gene Krupa in his glory. You exemplify in your own way the magnificent Gene Krupa sound. Gene started the drum solo thing going. Jazz with out Gene? no way you must have Gene to motivate. and you right here did the beautiful sound the Gene Krupa sound. I am so proud of you Tucker for your sincere efforts.
This is how Carl Faust and I really learned how to play in the 1960s. Film clips weren't available back then, we dissected these solos by ear from records, then traded notes, techniques, etc. I owe a lot to Carl, Dennis Wysocki, Larry D'Angelo, all top drummers in the mid 1960s. We all went to Floral Park Memorial high school, a hotbed of great talent. Bill P.
@@MrCrazyGasMaskManYes, you're doing it right ! Just reading a transcription gives you no idea of the 'musicianship and overall 'feel' of what's happening. The internet is a great place to learn ! Back in the old days, we had no clips to watch, we had to guess at what the 'sticking' was, etc. Today you can just pause the clip anywhere you want, loop it, etc. and practice. Excellent post, by the way ! Bill P. 😀
Being a Gene Krupa fan from when I was kid and tis solo being one of my favorites which I have on video, You nailed it. Great performance. I really enjoyed you watching you executing Gene's moves.
Well done young man. You are a very proficient, professional drummer. Your mastery and replication of this Gene Krupa classic was remarkably accurate. And you even respected the occasion dressed the part. Cheers!
T. Has a gift of special recognition and photographic memory in my opinion to cover these solos precisely. Excellent!

Fabulous work. Also, fabulous Slingerlands!
Brilliant. I'm a big fan of anything Krupa. Not heard that track before.
Excellent.
FANTASTIC!!⚡️⚡️⚡️
Awesome!
Gene Krupa war ein klasse Schlagzeuger. Schön, dass du seine Erinnerung hochhälst. Chapeau. Liebe Grüße aus Koblenz am Rhein. Christoph 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩

Thank you, sounds like I'm doing it right then! It's wonderful that I can listen to it easily on the internet.

Gene kruppa tenía una forma de tocar acordé a su época y personalidad sin duda un gran batero irrepetible Tato de Maldonado

Beautifull Drum Set by the way.
That just feels GOOD.

Very good! A lot of work and dedication but it's worth it! Keep the beat up!!
GREAT!!! work!!!
good work guy!
Bravo !
Love this.
Brilliant!!
Great job ❤
NOW I know where Peter Criss got some of his chops for his ALIVE solo. 👍
Excellent 😮👍
Great vídeo, do you have the pdf of the sheet?
すげえええええ!!!!!!
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant
GOOD SHOW, Kiddo!
Really Great!!! Is that a Radio King set? I have one but the edges are sharper.
Thanks! Only the snare is Radio King, the others are 80N.
👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
これは伸びるw
The essence of drumming is inspiring the others to play their very best. Solos are ego!
What, are you from 1920s or something?
How did you do it?
Great video! You're not living in Osaka by any chance are you?
Not Osaka but I live in Kyoto
@@MrCrazyGasMaskMan Oh cool..I'm looking for a teacher..do you have students?
@@RyanSteven Yes I do, I teach Drums in a drum school and independently.
Wow! Even better than Sal Mineo. lol
Thank you! Well, I'm actually playing so... haha!
A lot of “wasted motion” with Gene Krupa’s playing! BUDDY RICH IS THE GOAT!
Wtf??
And that would matter if drumming was a sport... but it's not.
That’s all part of the show isn’t it?
