What a great surprise. I was one of the Rainier bottles in the "Rainier is Beerish on America." (the first ad on the trailer). It was a memorable day and I'm delighted to know the campaign literally has made history. Three friends from West Seattle High School joined me in the production. Teenagers, all of us. Was it wrong of us to grab a couple cases on our way off the movie set? Security was fairly lax. We still all get together.
Haha that's great history! Thanks for sharing
Haha, I would've jumped at the chance to be part of a beer campaign in high school. I'm 22 now and my go-to beer is Rainier. It's disappointing that all my peers dislike Rainier. I really do think it's dying, but as long as its's still being sold, I'll buy it!
I love it. A 22-year-old embracing big R. Thanks for writing.
My dad made a lot of the props for the commercials, from the living room set, the cans surfacing and diving, the cans in the smash up derby contest and so many more, the iceberg which I help make for the Rainer 92 hydro cup that I drove around the log boom.
My late husband and I would pack up the old station wagon, buy some Rainier Beers and camp out under the stars near Spirit lake at Mount Saint Helens. My husband would give me a version of his own “eruption”, and boy was there a hell of a mudslide after.
My God -the "get it yourself, Bob" clip I haven't thought about practically since I first saw it 40 years ago (I moved away from Seattle in 1985). Has to be one of the funniest commercials ever.
I’m so excited for the documentary!!!
"I would go to the show if they would make it into a full-length movie!"

Watching this as I'm drinking a Rainier 👍
I loved on whidbey island from 76 to 81 as a 5-10 yr old and the only piece of television I can remember from that time is the Rainier beer motorcycle add.
Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. 2 Dui's from drinking this beer and I'd do it again.
R-Bo and the "Get it yourself, bub!!" woman!
This is awesome!
Find the Rainier Ale commercial of the cooking show where the very calm gentleman suddenly smashes his fist through the fridge door while saying..... " and, Rainier Ale is Beyond macho" !
Fantastic, thanks for the memories. Could there be more in the making? . . . Rainier beer, my nectar of choice.
This is great, can't wait!
NOW!!!!!! The Alice in Chains video for the song Rainier Fog makes sense to me!!!!!!!
Funded $200! Part of our local history that we cannot lose. Who else remembers late night study sessions drinking the Green Death? (Rainier Ale)
"Pitchers of Beer". A book about Amal Sic, The Seattle Rainiers, and Rainier Beer. May be a good source of info for the documentary.
Who was the young woman whom Mickey Rooney poured Rainier down her dress? Jeanette McDonald?😁
So Seattle! Back when Seattle was Seattle. 🥲
Watching an Alice in Chains video brought me here!👍
Me too, I had no idea why this popped into my feed until I started watching and realized this is just the basis for that Alice In Chains video for the song rainier fog.
PLEASE recover the biker pigeon ads! These were real pigeons and wore biker jackets and had little motorcycles :)
Raaayyyy
Neeeerrrrrr
Beeeerrrrr
😂😂
And the budweiser frogs are merely great grandchildren of the Rainier frogs😅
Back when PNW culture really DID represent something fresh, idiosyncratic, and most importantly, fun. So many PNW attitudes and sensibilities now just seem humorless, pretentious, indifferent and most ironically, CONFORMIST.
My mom used to do naked stuff for sailors for Rainier beer.
I was stationed in Seattle when I was in the USCG 79 - 81. Rainier was the undisputed beer of choice. Their commercials were gold. I loved Mickey Rooney.
I was part way through the trailer (documentary trailer, not trailer house) and I noticed I had a huge smile on my face! Need volunteers? I would be thrilled to work on the docementary,
AND
This needs to have a short TV commercial of people coming out of the theater being interviewed about their thoughts ("I thought it was very refreshing" , "Effervescent!").
This is awesome!!
Bless you for doing this.
I cant wait to see the final product. Especially since I was in the square dance commercial. 😀
"There I am kids... I'm the third Rainier from the left!"
Love it, this is awesome work!
My Dad is the one and only R-Bo
💚💜❤️🧡💙☺️👏👏👏👏g
