    Honest question, do you think Gary Wilson knows who SVB is? I’m sure he knows who he is but like the prestige he holds and his place in the sport? I would think Wilson would be more focused on his snooker career to really give it too much thought (unless he’s a pool fan).

      Nah. I don't think any Snooker player with the exception of Drago knows who Boeing is.

      Yes, Gary knows who Shane is and his standing in the game.
      I grew up playing 8-ball and then later playing snooker and watching snooker on television from the 70s and much later, and watching 9-ball on Sky TV here in the UK and on RUclips, especially the Mosconi Cup but have never played 9-ball as there is nowhere near me in south-east London that I know of where I can play it.
      So if I as a non-player know who Shane is, then you can be sure that Gary does and that Karl will certainly have told him too.

      @ChakkravutChinalai 😂 oh please. All these guys know each other. Maybe not personally but Wilson is well aware of who svb is and how good he is.

      @andrewverrett568 Probably knows him as he's playing him. Whether he cares or not is questionable. It's comparable to whether Rafael Nadal knows or cares about the world pickleball champion. He doesn't

    Why in fuxks name are the commentators going on about a game we are not watching half why through? Its svb playing a handmedown that was given 2 sets for free by svb and yet we need to hear comms of another game we cant see?

      I will go out on a limb here and suggest that it is because Gary is a snooker player.
      And if Shane was playing Gary in a snooker tournament, but let's face it, he would not because he would get absolutely slaughtered, then the commentators would be "going on" about Shane being a pool player.
      HTH.

    • @andrewverrett568
      @andrewverrett568 13 дней назад

      @seanscanlon9067 mark is gonna get absolutely slaughtered in this tournament just like trump did in the US open. No snooker player alive today can beat the top level 9 ball players. Svb was not playing like his normal self here. Probably one of his worse performances I've seen in a while and yet it seemed like he was gonna win no matter what. If svb would have been playing like he normally does Wilson wouldn't have gotten out of his chair.

      @@andrewverrett568 Any half decent snooker pro will be competitive at 9-ball and you are too late, considering several snooker players and former snooker players have already beaten pool players at 9-ball.
      And I swear Judd Trump won matches during the US Open.

      he has spurts of great svb playing but shane definitely has garnered nerves over the past few years. i never know with him anymore.

      He just made runner up at the US open and he should have won that match. He had a couple of bad rolls and worst got lucky a few times. Flip that around and svb would have won the US open for a record setting 6th time. How can someone say svb is playing with less confidence when he just got runner up at the US open? Crazy talk. He just looked like he was having trouble figuring out the table the entire match is all. They haven't been playing on this table much because they just started the televised matches. Once he plays on it more he'll be shooting with more confidence.

      @@andrewverrett568 i was at the us open for the last 16 and finals. it’s true shane was playing great but to be honest, when i watch shane, it always seems like he’s losing to himself now. a couple matches i watched, he couldnt find the break and got lucky cause he slammed the rack. he gave away at least 3 racks on two matches, including against shaw. he’s too much in his head. it’s okay to miss key balls sometimes but it always seems like he’s not pocketing a ball he should be or scratches because he’s overthinking something.
