- Fairfax Recordings in Los Angeles, California (formerly known as Sound City) has one of the most legendary recording rooms in the world. We had the honor of recording two incredible ADpaks at this temple of sound: Fairfax Vol. 1 and Fairfax Vol. 2.
This short documentary shows the great lengths we went to in order to capture the sound of two incredible kits in one legendary room.

The Best "How it's made" video!
Thanks.
Gah XLN you outdo yourselves every time!
Best sounding drum plugin I've had the pleasure to experience.
I already had it. Thanks to XLN Audio!!
These kits trigger well with V-Drums and with both volume 1 & 2, there is a wide range of kit sounds and settings.
Best Drums ever!
Nice, I've been wanting to get that System of a Down drum sound from the first album. This kit might help me pull it off.
waoooouuu,,,,,,,,,,clean and strong .
Is there separate out for top/ bottom snare for routing into DAWs mixer?
new to ad2 - love it so far but was wondering if you will have hihat kitpeices available at some point
Every ADpak has at least one kit piece available to load into the hihat slot. So your collection of hihats will grow with every ADpak you get.
Or did you mean hihat avaiable as a separate Kitpiece Pak?

the standalone runs too big for my 20" monitor-how do you get it be smaller, its on w7.
Hi Bret! Please contact our support staff and we'll be happy to help you out! Here's a link: www.xlnaudio.com/support
B H how do you runs the software as standalone?? I runs it only on my daw. Tell me how to do it. Thanks
Should I purchase Fairfax Vol. 2 or Indie Adpak? I can only afford one and want a kit that's pretty nice all around. I play with music like Paramore and Breaking Benjamin, but also "softer?" bands like The Fray, The Beatles, etc. Anybody that's tried both and has a opinion, please let me know.

I switched from Superior Drummer. i don't like presets that comes with adpack!! Can't really do anything in mix with them. Something is missing all the time or there is too much of something else. It is hard to chose natural sound (not sure if the one is mix or natural) and then mix them to finish project. i have 5 different adpack and I have this issue in all the time. This is very cool software but as always sounds better in a commercial . As for the price..oh well great option
was hoping to hear the sounds, instead, mostly guys talking about how great their shit is ...
Hi Waste,
If you check out our product page, I'm sure you'll find more samples and previews of how it sounds like. www.xlnaudio.com/products/adpak/fairfax_vol_1
got an offer for this today. sorry, over priced for what it is.. used reason drum kits for a start for a long time. you think the sound is "the same" without the mixer Dave bought when sound city was closing ? I find it a tad misleading if you don't think so...sure it's the same room, but the signal chain does come in to it...it is a pity that same custom mixer wasn't used !!!. so I won't be buying it
fog various Your loss dude. I honestly don't care which recording chain they used. The micing sure isn't the same as on those classic albums anyway.
These are some of the best sounding drum sample libraries I've heard. That's all that matters to me. Worth every penny.
But yeah, if you don't like it then it's surely over priced.

I don't see what's misleading -- he renamed the recording studio.
the dialog is annoying. no interest in vocal samples of these people. really.
