Another entertaining vid, keep em coming. I also find the H125 impossible to trim but see another comment about trimming under 100kts so will try that. After watching someIRL and sim heli pilots, i adopt a forward slow decent landings on suitable LZ's, keeping the LZ on my bottom right chin window and once lined up use the collective to keep vertically aligned until that last moment before touchdown which can sometimes get away from you! Also found that reducing my cyclic reactivity down to around 65% made it more controllable (with my springless stick). Keep on flying sir o7
Great flight please keep the heli videos coming. I find that when coming into land keep forward motion as the Vortex state kicks in if you come down vertically. I have thustmaster wharthog heli gear with TPR pedals which helps me a lot. But great entertainment, Thanks
Cowan Simulations has acknowledged on their H125 page that the heli flies skid low when at speed and it shouldn’t, they are working on an update. I can fly hands off with the h125 for a decent period with a few clicks of left lateral trim and a larger number of forward trim keeping the speed around 100knts and it will stay straight and level with minimal nudges on the stick :) I’ve really mastered the take off int he h125, but my landings are always a little less smooth than I would like. I use a HOTAS on the Xbox and the throttle has an annoying detent exactly where it is not needed for a helicopter collective!
Excellent very good You will have to fly to the North Yorkshire Railway where they filmed the train sequence and the Derbyshire quarry..Shame they could not have got permission for Tom Cruise as the pilot
Just for info ... I bought the HF8 Haptic first level racing seat pads. Its been brilliant GA fixed wing but I saw a review on using Simshaker software instead of the First level racing software and I am so impressed... I did not program a heli setting in the software it did it itself and with the Cowan 125 heli I was taken aback when going into a landing you feel the Rotors thrashing as you lower the collective.. I know Sim shaker does a seat pad but think they may be more expensive /software free. It really adds to sim experience worth a review..
Is that look fixed determination or frozen in terror ? A lot of people have said this heli is very twitchy so I was looking forward to seeing what you did with it. I haven't been disappointed. Brave of you to try that landing without using your head tracking 🙂 At least you didn't end up at Four Seasons Total Landscaping 😆
New Download update from Josh at Cowan sims makes the Heli so much easier to fly and better view out the front
Going to me test flying it shortly :)
Nice bit of plonking! Thanks for the video, impressive intro.
Many thanks!
"As people have pointed out to me, very helpfully" :D Thanks for the video.
Many thanks! 😀
What a Relief 😃 I have the same issues landing as your talking about
Great video! Keep the helicopter videos coming! Great fun to watch!
Many thanks Gareth! I will be sure to!

Many thanks Ben! I will try that cyclic adjustment! Sounds like a good idea!

Many thanks! Yes I need to practise landing with forward motion instead of bringing it into a hover 3 miles away!

Yes it’s must finding that sweet spot with the trim isn’t it.
Great video. :)
Hey great repaint! 🍻

What a great idea! 👍🏻
@@Dreamsofwings I found the quarry but I was in a Zenith fixed wing. All you need is Tom to sponsor some designer to do the train over the edge
@@alwatt9367 I’ll ask my people to talk to his people 🤣
does anyone know what the button is called in the settings to change the collective from idle to flight?
wow nice! How can I join your discord? And do you have the pack of this helicopter?
Hi, the links to the Discord and the repaint are all in the video description under the video 👍🏻

Sounds good! Probably not something I will be budgeting for right now but down the road would be fun to experience.

lol thanks mate. This was using head tracking by the way, just probably keeping my head more stable than usual 🤣
@@Dreamsofwings Were you frozen in terror too ? 🤣🤣
@@ceegnz in a new helicopter? Always my man!
You got Bijan spring season installed here? 😊
No, this is actually Rex Accuseason. Works well for me.
@@Dreamsofwings looks very nice 👌🏻
Where are the Strobe an Beacon Lights...cant find it ???
Looks like all just part of the A/Col switch
@@Dreamsofwings ok....i also cant set the qnh ??? You too ??
sensacional
Many thanks!
Is there a way flying autopilot or something that locks the throttle ???
@@kdjunior5282 this helicopter has no autopilot so it’s hands on all the time.
@@Dreamsofwingsdo you know where to set the cabin Temperature and where to see it ??
Tom seemed a bit unsure about letting you fly him :)
Yeah I detected a distinct lack of enthusiasm for what was about to take place.
What controls are you using?
Ah you must have not got to that bit in the video yet where I talk about it. WarBrd base with Thrustmaster A10 grip, Bravo quadrant and TPR pedals.
@@Dreamsofwings i heard you talk about your but didn’t hear what it was😄
👍🍔
