she has truly never received the accolades that she truly deserves....yes she has had her share of successes, but she didn't get the love of an aretha or barbara in their heyday, she was right there with them, and truth be told. Out of all, along with Gladys Knight, her voice is still gold. Patti thanks for all the years of allowing us to love you and be loved by you. Thanks to the poster for putting us up on game by posting this performance.
Oh my god!!!! I miss this type of live concerts. She hit it out the park!!!!!! Background singers I love you. Band on point even with strings. Come on this is a show!!!!
Thank you a million times for posting this one. They played this every morning back in 1977-78 on WDAS Philadelphia when I was going to high school. This song helped me get through my senior year in a new city and school. Thanks Ms. Patty!!
I cannot thank you enough for this for the arrangement on Patti's first live album ("Live in Washington DC") was terrible but this is faithful to the original and you can see Patti is having a good time! This should have been a big hit for her and, perhaps, she should re-release it or, at least, reinclude it in her live shows!
Give this Legendary Great Queen Rock Royalty while she is still here. She is still going strong. God Bless her and Jesus be with you. Thanks for the Joy your music has brought to the world.....
Tremendous performance! Also I love the energy that her MD, the late great Bud Ellison infused into the arrangement, and inspired among the other musicians and singers. I visited Philly for the first time recently, and caught a SERIOUS vibe...the energy of all its tremendous sons and daughters of song is still in the air and envelops you. No joking, it was real...
This is my first time seeing this video if I knew who u were I would take you out to lunch lol thank you so much I jst found the tour online so Im about to order that right now its only on VHS though but I dont care this lady is unexplainable
Sorry but this just isn't a good performance of Joy To Have You, the other performances here on youtube are miles ahead but that vocal at the end was amazing, she held that badboy.
