I absolutely love my makeup. I’m 58 and until recently was wearing full glam everyday. However, since retiring to the Gold Coast recently, I have been swapping my full coverage foundation for concealer where I need it and some powder foundation. I still wear bronzer and blush. I also have gone from 6 eyeshadow colours to usually just 2 very quick and easy colours. I’m still amazed that I don’t feel the need to wear so much. Obviously the more relaxed beach vibe is the influence. ❤
Oh that is my goal too, retirement on the GC, I find it hard to wear makeup in hot and humid conditions, but I’m “lucky” that Melbourne doesn’t provide me with many of those days 🤣🤣🤣on holidays I’m the same and wear minimal makeup too. Enjoy the perfect place to live in, I’m shivering in my winter dressing gown here 😂😂😘😘
@@Deborahafter50 it’s hot and very humid here at the moment, but it’s a short walk to the best beach in the world. We’re very fortunate.
Ah, the perfect combination of sweat and sand. Who needs a spa when you have a beach nearby? 😂😂😘😘
Daily no make up without makeup is my lazy go to beachside look these days. 😂 That's saying a lot because i used to be the kind of person who wouldn't leave the house without my face on!
That's a fantastic shift! Embracing the natural beachside look is not only liberating but also a testament to your newfound comfort and confidence. I'm struggling to keep my make up on while travelling the beautiful coast of Australia, I've gone down to just wearing a little cc cream and cream blush and mascara, I'm embracing the simplicity, and enjoying these lazy, minimal makeup beach days! 😊🌊☀️
Thank you for this excellent tutorial. Helpful tip about the elf colour corrector in peach....I might need to get this item! The makeup looks great on you, especially how you do your eye makeup. Your silver's look amazing & compliment your look.. would love to hear your story as to what encouraged you to allow your hair to be natural. Bless you.

Going grey was a decision I made last November 22, it’s a very slow process, funny how when I used to dye my hair the regrowth was visible within days but 13 months on it’s still not fully gain out. I contemplate cutting it short so it can just be done, but my daughters won’t let me 😂😂
I will do a video eventually when it’s all grown out.
There were so many reasons why I bit the bullet and so many times I wanted to re dye it but ultimately my hair feels healthier without the chemicals and I actually like now the natural “tips” coming through 😘😘

Hi Claire, it was challenging doing daily vlogs last year so I’m not doing daily Vlogmas BUT I am filming daily and then I’ll upload a weekly vlog of the previous week. If that makes sense? I’m planning on this week going live next Wednesday, look out for that. And then the next 2 Wednesdays after 🤞So it’s sort of a Vlogaweek 😘😘 I haven’t mentioned anything yet but I probably will in Saturday’s video. Thank you for the support 😍😍

Did you say you use a damp sponge to blend your foundation?
Hi Jocelyn, thank you 🙏 it depends on the day and the coverage I want, I use a sponge if I want a dewier lighter finish as it absorbs more product other times I use a buffing brush.
Hi beautiful Deborah. How are you? I didn't see you all week so I was hoping everything was OK. I do even less than you because I just wear a tinted moisturiser, concealer, blush, mascara and lippy. I'm still unsure about eye shadow 🤔. I know I should experiment but I have to wear my contact lenses to wear it. At what stage do you put your blockout on? I'm so confused about skincare 😕. I use an eye cream first, then vitamin C, then moisturiser and then block out. Am I doing it right?. Anyway, how is this horrible weather? It's freezing and it has drizzled non stop. I’ve been celebrating Charlotte’s end of her school year and starting the process of getting ready for her 18th next weekend 🙈
Re makeup if I don’t wear eyeshadow my eyes look really small but a trick you can use is to use your blush brush after you’ve put on your blush and apply what’s left on the brush over your eyelids to add a little
Colour and brings the look together 😉
I put on my sun screen as my last step before makeup, so lately I’ve been using an eye cream specifically for my puffy eyes lately I’ve been waking up with really puffy eyes and I’ve recently bought a cream that seems to be helping me with that. I than apply a vitamin C serum, and then a light moisturizer once that’s all absorbed I add the sunscreen. So yes you’re spot on in your application 😍😍
OMG when is Melbourne getting the memo that it’s supposed to be summer here??? I see that Monday and Tuesday this week should be good but then it goes downhill from there again 😢😢
