I hope you react to Advice the MV is really interesting. That's the song Taemin recorded before he left for military service. He's out now and I watched him with Shinee in Madrid at the Kpop Lux festival last weekend. Watching him dance is an inspiration, he's incredible. Enjoy.

Taemin's "Sayonara Hitori" MV is visually stunning and breathtaking. This is the sort of vibe you should expect from the majority of Taemin's Japanese songs and MVs. They all have this very Japanese feel to them.
If you are curious how this MV was made, you should look up the behind the scenes/making of video, ruclips.net/video/QNLyT4ZZw7U/видео.html. You will see that for most of it, Taemin is dancing in a shallow pool of water on a green screen set. (Very similar to how SHINee's leader Onew filmed his solo debut "Blue" MV in 2018.) About the only things that are real in the MV are the water and the piano, Taemin's amazing outfits and his impressive dancing. :D
Because this is one of Taemin's Japanese songs, it was produced by one of the Japanese companies SM partners with for its Japanese promotions, so almost everyone involved is Japanese. Therefore, in the behind the scenes footage you also will get a chance to hear just how fluent and comfortable Taemin is speaking Japanese. :D
And if you haven't yet, you should really look up the English translation of the lyrics, because when it comes to Taemin's solo songs, and especially his Japanese songs, the lyrics usually have a very deep meaning and are full of Biblical and existential metaphors for life and his career, etc. The lyrics always add an extra layer to his performances that take everything to the next level.
"Sayonara Hitori" is his Japanese solo debut in 2016. However, Taemin and SHINee have been well-known Japanese artists since SHINee's Japanese debut in 2011. SHINee and Taemin are so famous in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene in Japan and many don't even consider them foreign artists. They spend almost 50% of their career in Japan, so they are all fluent in Japanese.
Although, if you watch one of his live performances of the song in Korea, you will see the Korean version of this song is named "Goodbye." As you may know, Sayonara means goodbye in Japanese. His Japanese version was so popular that they decided to produce a Korean version of the song a few months later. The Korean version is what you hear if you watch Taemin's "Devil Inside" performance on the dance competition show Hit the Stage or any award show or concert performances outside of Japan.
And because Taemin is a member of SHINee, his live performances of this song are even more mind blowing and powerful than what you just experienced. You definitely need to see him perform this song live in concert or as an award show performance. You then will start to understand why Taemin and SHINee are considered one of the top live performances in the world.
You should also check out his dance practice, the dance practice is not on RUclips, so you have to search for it. You haven't even begun to see just how amazing the choreography for "Sayonara Hitori (Goodbye)" is. :P
Fun fact: This was the first time Taemin worked with Sugawara Koharu, who is a famous Japanese choreographer, and it was the first time he had done a contemporary style dance. Sugawara was the one who taught him contemporary style. Since then, Taemin and Sugawara have worked together many times over the years, and they have become really good friends. She helped Taemin choreograph their duet performance on the Korean idol dance competition show Hit the Stage and she was the choreographer for Taemin's "Move," "Want" and "Flame of Love" MVs, as well as one of several who collaborated on Taemin's "Criminal" MV choreography. Sugawara was also the choreographer for SHINee's song "Good Evening." She loves working with Taemin because his dance style and personality is very similar to her's so they mesh really well together, and that is one of the reasons why she has been featured in several of Taemin's projects.
As you noticed, there are blue flowers that bloom and then are placed all around Taemin in the casket. Pearl aqua blue/green is SHINee's color, so blue has a lot of important messages when it comes to SHINee. Plus, blue flowers, when equated with a message, usually stand for love and inspiration, and when presenting someone with blue flowers you are telling them you will stay loyal and passionate about them. Blue flowers also could be used as a connection within Taemin's solo storyline, as well as connecting him to SHINee. We also see blue roses in Taemin's "Press Your Number" MV and blue flowers in SHINee's "Countless" MV. And some theories even think the blue flowers could be connected to the blue roses/flowers we see in EXO's storyline, which is now thought may be all connected to SM's SM Culture Universe story.
Taemin's "Sayonara Hitori" MV is also set in an otherworldly location in another dimension or planet and the prominent feature is a giant moon, just like in EXO's storyline. And it even looks similar to the giant moon we see rising from behind the rock formation in SHINee Key's solo "Bad Love" MV and album teaser video, which possibly could mean it's all connected as well.

Fun fact: That's not just any female dancer in Taemin's "Want" MV. The girl you see highlighted in the shadows is Yoo JiMin (Karina) who is the leader and main dancer of aespa. She participated in this song as a rookie trainee even before aespa's debut. ("Want" was released in February 2019 and aespa didn't debut until November 2020.) She also participated in some of his live comeback stage performances and you can see her in Taemin's dance practice video.
Taemin's "Want" is one of those songs that the lyrics take the song and performance up to the next level. :D The lyrics give the song and performance a whole other feel and it helps to explain the images and story you see being told in the MV.
Many people think that "Want" has a vampire vibe, and I can see where some might get the vampire feel from this MV. After all, one of Taemin's nicknames is SHINee's eternal vampire because in some performances and MVs, the way he looks and the aesthetic of the performance gives him a vampire image.
However, in "Want" Taemin is supposed to be portraying Lucifer. That's why he seems to have a love affair with those snakes. (The ones he is holding are real snakes.) And, like Lucifer, he is supposed to be seducing the audience and the girl using his devilish powers, which is why the choreography looks like he is slithering like a snake. The gate you see him standing in front of is supposed to be a representation of "The Gates of Hell " from French artist Auguste Rodin. Taemin is Catholic, and most of his MVs showcase his faith as it tells the story using numerous Biblical references.
If you like his dancing in the MV, you have to see his "Want" dance practice video to really understand how intricate and breathtaking Taemin is with this choreography. No one moves the way Taemin does.
Taemin is very unique and never does the same thing twice, he is constantly switching up his sound and dance style. However, you will see that it will always be very Taemin-like. Many choreographers who have worked with him over the years have said that, with Taemin you can't help but allow him to move in whatever way his body takes him. Taemin is art in every sense of the word. :D
Taemin started when he was a child by copying dancers that he saw on TV, such as Michael Jackson and Kpop star Bi Rain. And he didn't have any formal training until he joined SM. As trainees, SM originally planned to make SHINee a hip-hop group, so Taemin's dance training started out focusing on hip-hop dance styles like popping and locking. However, over the years, he has devoted himself to learning every style of dance. Taemin is literally the artist that everyone within the Kpop industry looks up to and respects.

I am a Taemin bias 7/8 months now. I hear he has 80 songs. So i am slowly going though his MVs and lives and such. Sayonara Hitori means Goodbye it is a Japanese OST. It is my fav song by him. LOL the song is called "Sexuality." What did you expect? If you think this performance was too much to handle then don't watch "Slave," or "Play Me," etc. Sexuality is fairly tame compared to some of his other performances. Taemin is known for being super sexy when it comes to his solo content. It's just part of who he is, and he does it without even really trying. LOL, the way you reacted to his "Sexuality" performance, you would have thought you were watching something other than a Kpop concert. I dare you to check out some of his other songs and performances. ;P
Taemin has two types of songs when it comes to his solo work. His songs are either super sexy and sensual or they are technically complex and beautiful. But either way they are always mind blowing. Just take a look at the titles of some of his songs: "Danger," "Soldier" "Sexuality," "Tiger," "Press Your Number," "Guess Who," "Mystery Lover," "Hypnosis," "Slave." "Crazy 4 U," "Play Me," "Flame of Love," " Under My Skin," "Thirsty," "Want," "Criminal," etc. Or "Ace," "Already", "Door, "Pretty Boy," "Move" "Artistic Groove," "Famous," "Idea," etc. Each song is meant to show you exactly why he is one of the best in the industry even just by their titles. I find it interesting that all of his songs, with the titles alone, tell you exactly what Taemin is all about. If you look at the titles of his songs, you will see that the titles convey one of two things about him, either painting a picture of his sexy and sensual onstage personality, or they explain his dedication and passion as an artist.
But that's only his onstage personality, when not on stage he is actually pretty shy and quiet and he blushes and becomes super awkward when he even tries to flirt with someone. And when he is with the other members of SHINee, there is no doubt that he is the baby of the group. You would never guess he could ever be this sexy on stage.
Taemin's performance of "Sexuality" is a perfect example of what makes him one of the top performers in the industry and why he is one of the most popular solo artists, as well as a member of the legendary group, SHINee.
And of course, not only is Taemin's dancing amazing, but he is doing it while singing live as well. After all, he is a member of SHINee LOL.
SHINee almost never lip sync during live performances. It's actually more shocking to see SHINee not singing live. That is what makes them the kings of live performances.
Fun fact: As you may have noticed, Taemin is performing on a octagonal stage. If you watch the making of video for this concert you will see that Taemin had a really hard time trying to figure out how to perform on a round stage. It took some extra practice and planning for him to understand how to use the round stage. And when he first started out he had a hard time figuring out where he should be on stage at certain moments. This was his first time ever performing on a stage in the round and he wasn't used to not having a defined front of the stage. It took him a few performances before he became comfortable with performing with that set design.
This performance was part of Taemin's solo Japanese Arena tour, so if you watch the whole concert you will discover that the majority of his songs are in Japanese and he speaks fluent Japanese when interacting with the audience and his backup dancers are also Japanese.

He has quite a few songs that you would count under "adult content" and actually He can be quite a b!tch about it teasing fans and all 🤭 He had a song on his last album called "Strings" and you should check out the lyrics. He told fans the best time to listen to the songs is alone, at night, in bed 😵💫
3:20 What was more impressive is that he did that whole concert while having a cold, he really was not feeling well and also on a side note (if I remember correctly within the same year at the end of 2017 in Dec when all of kpop community and SHINee faced an unforeseen tragedy when we suddenly lose #KimJonghyun to suicide after literally having his last livechat with fans where he was saying goodbye and I still remember the sadden look on his face; if though he couldnt see or read I tried to tell him through comments not to go but it was too late.)
