The late Mary Nolan, Carnew Road, Ferns, Co. Wexford.

Here is a 72 minute chat I had with the late Mary Nolan on a Friday evening on the 22nd of March 2019. Sadly, a week later I got a call to say Mary had passed away. This video wasn’t shared publicly since, only with immediate family and I’ve waited two year to share it with you now.
This chat was completely unplanned and it was my first time meeting Mary. Her granddaughter and her friend Barry Lacey were behind me when I was recording this and they asked me along as they thought it would be a good idea to record her. Lucky I did.
So here is the full 72 minutes, unedited where you hear us chat about her family and her life in Ferns and a load of different local memories, customs and traditions. If you have an hour to spare - have a listen - it’d do you the world of good. Rest in Peace Mary.
