Huge sixers fan. He played AI real tough in that series. Before they made that defensive switch AI was torching them. This was a great adjustment by Phil Jackson. It ended paying off in the rest of the series as Lui did a great job frustrating him for the rest of the series and the Sixers were a one man show that year. I’ll never forget how loud me and my friends got when he stepped over him though. That was a fun season.

I am fortunate enough to know Ty and I was with him every summer of his NBA career, helping him train for the season. He was the one guy in a gym full of NBA players and soon to be draft/lottery picks. Everyone who wanted a tip,suggestion, or even to stay after and shoot some more or work on whatever was needed for that specific player. I always knew Ty would be a coach in the NBA, and I couldn't be prouder of him. He's also a class-act. Ty is one of those guys everyone in the league got along with. He deserves everything he's received.
That moment is definitely overhyped lol but I always had a lot of respect for T Lue as a player. I remember those were the early days of 2K and I would always put him on my team. Used him as my secret weapon with a log of energy off the bench and could get his own shot when needed. Plus the defense! Crazy thing is I played with the Magic and they eventually ended up really picking him up for like a season or two. He's becoming a great coach too. Much respect.

It was the iconic highlight memorializing how not even the vaunted Lakers could stop AI-- at least when they first clashed in those Finals.
