Kweku, not sure about Gh Army, however in the British Army, when you start training, you are given weeks to resign. The instructors will prompt you your Discharge As of Right is soon to expire, and once the date is past, then you cannot leave until a minimum of 3 years. The worse case is in both situations, if you want to leave, you will continue training until your leaving date. You then realise its not worth leaving, so you carry on.
