Place is great, they're very smart and fortunate to have their own house that they got to decorate as they wanted but that they also own! The neighbors are sooo close that must have made it difficult during the remodel

Waaaah the house really cool and beautiful, must be very comfortable to live there. At first I watched this because there was Eunhyuk hahaha I really like Eunhyuk, whenever he was around I would definitely watch it, but I didn't expect this show to be very entertaining and can be a reference to build a house. I like to see Eunhyuk's expression looking at the house
Finally found a new show to binge! I love watching house/apartment tours and I love seeing renovations even more. This couple is very smart and lucky to have made their own home so inexpensively in Seoul.
Where is the master bedroom? I think he said it's there when you pass the 1.5 floor, but I didn't see a door or anything. I don't think a large bathroom is a waste at all, especially when you're sharing it with the whole family. I love large bathrooms! I would've even made the bathtub bigger since there was room for it.
It's small and has some awkward spots, but it's definitely better than a tiny Seoul apartment. Especially for that price and considering they have two kids. Due to the size, there needs to be a focus on organization and a feeling of openness/spaciousness which they definitely nailed. The choice of lights and wall colors make the house feel very bright and cozy. This is a great starter home, they did a fantastic job on it!

I think the English title is a bit confusing, as the Korean title literally means “We don’t have a house in Seoul” - rough translation.
@@yimoraa based on the hashtag it's probably Seoul Zip. Maybe it's a wordplay from Seoul Jib ( Jib means house). As another commenter said, for korean it's different title/meaning, but also it's not uncommon for korean show to have different title
@@yimoraa translation is 'there is no house for us in seoul,' gives tours of homes in suburbs/close cities around seoul since almost nobody can afford homes in seoul proper
One of the reason I like Korean shows because they really have an interesting and good information. I mean, I live in a country that house interior design is not common among people and we just don't care about it.

@morenaa Eunhyuk is one of the hosts of this show, but this isn't his house. Shindong and Siwon's apartments have been featured in house shows but they're different shows.

@Nsraiza @Dayang Siwon’s apartment was in an old episode of My Little Old Boy, Shindong’s apartment was in a show called Yurang Market and was also in SJ Returns where the members went there to celebrate his birthday and play games (chaotic as always).
Its nice that they got it for cheap and built their dream house. Hope they can renovate when the kids are older tho. Like i thought it was for one kid but there's two.

Apartments are more expensive in Korea? Why? I would’ve assumed landed house are more expensive.

Location? Convenient, facilities and security
Mostly because of security and efficiency, since most of the apartments hve a good locations/ good access to go anywhere.
High end apartments are mostly located in high class neighbourhood that’s why the prices are sky high. While this type houses are usually in suburbs and far from the main street. From subway station you have to walk quite far.
@@xiao_feng you can still find some houses like these in walking distance by the stations. This houses are generally cheaper because they are very old and needs major renovations (some even need retrofitting), located on steep hills, no parking or narrow streets.

In some instances, owning a detached old house in South Korea is cheaper.
Not sure if it's a local government or national project but they sell old houses like this for a significantly lower price than units in apartment complex in order to revive dying neighborhoods.

If we compare it to the houses in The state of California. This house is actually in Ok range
In my country only the land will cost 💲 50-100K. The cheapest lands are only outside of the city. That’s why average price for houses is $200K however we are not a developed country as South Korea.

Older landed house re cheaper than apartments nowadays. Bc apartments in Korea you need to pay for a lot of other bills and fees, not just the unit itself. Like car park space, security fee, facilities within the building, lift service fees and so on. Landed house doesn’t need any security or lift or facilities and have their own parking space, so it’s kinda the reason why i guess
I think there's less land in seoul hence houses are more on the outskirt, apartments in city is more expensive because of location

This house even with all the re-built and reno is damn cheap.
I don't know why but I just don't like the floor planning of the house😬. It has small windows , unnecessary small corners that are eating up space of the house, and then you end up seeing a tiny closet that doesn't even make sense 🤐 Anyhow so long as they love it 🤷♀ ok moving on.
