I can't solo out of gold because it's always just me as groot tank and everyone wants dps. And maybe 50% of the time I'll get 1 decent healer on my team... If I'm lucky. So many kids need to play quickmatch instead of ranked. It's absolutely annoying

Hello Nesmon i love you I didn't watch the video yet but I must say I am a tank main and pushed to GM last season mostly on busted Dr Strange to be honest, but i am looking to master every tank and thanks to your videos i believe Groot will be my next Lord, he is amazing and feels like he has a lot of carry potential also your videos helped me get many MVPs as Groot on comp keep pumping the vids 💪🏻

I don't play Tank. I don't play groot. I only played a few day this season so I barely even play this game. I have crippling dyslexia and hate reading. Yet I watch these and really enjoy 'em...

@@nesmonTV I would play more but the crashing so often is a big issue I played like three days made it to platinum from silver but I am afraid to play just to crash lode rank and get penalized. Fun game...

I love the content its been really helpful in learning both groot and the game, do you ever plan on making a general tips and tricks video covering some things you mention in your videos (being able to wall off rockets ult ect) I feel like videos such as those get a lot of views and could help people find your channel easier as well as be a great starter guide for anyone learning
Honestly i really want to make a guide, and basic tips and tricks for groot but im putting alot of pressure on myself making it really good to the point i havent started it yet LOL. Hoping i can start it soon

You actually made me a Groot main. I’m Top 500 on Support in Overwatch so I was playing Mantis a lot , very successfully too , but the impact you can have with Groot is unmatched. I was never a tank main , but I think you made me one lmao

Hey nice video man but I do have a question. Usually when you play midtown defense I've seen you go hold height often. Why not this game? Did you think that Mag wouldnt be able to hold without you?
Honestly i just messed up my walls to go up 😂 and by the time my walls would've been ready the enemies would've already pushed pretty close. So i just decided to stay down unless they took highground

Finally got into plat 2 with Groot thanks in part to these videos! Do you like certain strategist(s) in your games, like ones that you find perform or heal better? Or as long as they’re competent?
i prefer to have invis woman if we don't ban wolverine because she counters him other than that i don't mind the healers as long as we have a defensive ult

Yo love the vids, a suggestion though, I think you will see more channel engagement and growth if you vary your titles/thumbnails more. A lot of times I cant tell the difference between a new upload. Maybe try namedropping people your playing against/with and goofy caricature type images on the tn. Keep it up groot goat
Ay thank you so much for advice, i appreciate it a lot. I've been trying to change the thumbnails but I'm very limited since i can only use Capcut 😂 Currently in talks with someone for that! though with the titles, i could use alot of work there aswell for sure :)

looking at your gameplay compared to mine, i exclusively use the large wall for the extra heals and not for taking space. when are good timings for when to use the big wall the first way or the other ?
Honestly i think that's mostly a playstyle difference because i exclusively use mine to take space, or block enemies off. If i was going to use it for shields id rather it cover apart of the map for me so im taking less damage with cover but also gaining shields

Would you consider reacting to other players groots gameplay? I had a really insane game as groot and I enjoy playing him but I feel like I could’ve played better. We won and I had about 80k damage blocked and almost 50k damage dealt.
im going to be doing vod reviews, but its mostly for people who want to improve. Its hard to tell what to improve on if you send me a game that you stomped in
I struggle with knowing when to use ironwood wall on an off angle to provide healing vs when to use it to block off dmg/healing/create space. Any tips??
Honestly, I rarely use it to heal myself while hiding. Instead, I focus on using it aggressively or to block damage directly. If it can also provide shields while doing that, even better!
Same for me. The wall can block a lot more dmg than it provides healing, especially in an important time frame where you separate the enemy team.
Best advice for climbing up earlier ranks?
tbh i was mostly a hitscan player when i climbing all the way until i hit gold, so i cant say much about climbing as groot there. On the ranks after that i liked to play a little passive at the start of the game so i can understand how much healing im getting and if the enemies will punish me for positioning poorly

Honestly any tank is pretty rough without decent healers for the rank. If im not getting healed as much as i should, I use my walls to block damage a lot more instead of walling enemies off
Hello nesmon, i wanted to ask you because you are a player in the higher ranks how can i rank up easier. Im stuck in plat(3 specifically) for the last 2 days i just cant rank up. I dont want to blame my teamates i try to avoid it and I try to see what i did wrong but in a lot of my games i end up solo tanking with 3 dps even when i ask if they can switch. Is there a way i can try to improve. Thats all
Hey man you got to remember there are alot of GM players from last season in Plat at the moment still so you should be happy with plat! but honestly the only advice i can give is to make sure you are communicating and make sure your team is aware of what you want to do and when you want to do! :) solo tanking can be hard, but its 100% doable. i will also be doing vod reviews soon so if you are interested in that, join the discord :)

I noticed that you don't use Iron Wall for the shields all that much but instead use it to block off supports from healing. Do you believe it has more value that way? Also, suppose nobody tried to break your Iron Wall, would you still use it to block supports or would you be more inclined to leave it to the side for shields?

I recently learned that staying near your big wall gives you a lot of hp, and I saw another video saying how you should put your big wall somewhere in the battle where it won't' be shot down and stay near it to get incredibly tanky. Is there a reason why you don't do this?
the reason i don't hide my wall is because A LOT of groots value comes from blocking off the enemies from support/healing. The thornlash walls are great for this of course but they are easily broken since they only have 250hp. So me and a lot of other groots prefer to use the ironwood wall to help there. hopefully that answers your question :)

I’m at plat 1 rn soloq’ing as groot and I play very similarly (I’m new to this kind of game). In low ranks I found myself using the ironwood for the health a lot of the time bc the support was not good lol. It’s definitely better using it to wall off the frontline tho and you’re usually still close enough to get the benefit while their tanks can’t get healed. Hopefully I can make it to at least GM I’ll be happy with that 😂
