I am not getting whether I should go ahead with high risk, high returns strategy or low risk and stable returns! Could you please share some thoughts on this? I got interested in flexi cap and Multicap funds. I am thinking to choose 1 each. Would you mind suggesting best funds to invest for 15 years? I will be doing in SIP mode as you said.

    Hello sir!
My objective is to save whatever money I can, which can come in handy for my child education or anything urgent after 5 years.
At the moment, my sip is for approx 5K a month across my portfolio and plans to increase to 15K in 6 months. Below is my Portfolio 1. Canara Robeco Elss (1000), 2. Nippon Small Cap (1000), 3. Parag Flexi cap (1000), 4. HDFC advantage Balanced (1000) and 5. Motilal Mid cap (1000). Need money after 5 years.
Please suggest if i need to make changes to my current portfolio, as I intend to stay invested for at least 4-5 years and intent is to make anything additional to manage future expenses.
Also, please suggest on product mix in terms of % across my portfolio.
Also should i switch from Parag to Felxi cap and also add anything new to my portfolio.

Time frame is very small and the risk for the child education portfolio must be very low.
      So instead of
      Motilal Mid cap (1000
      consider adding
      ICICI Prudential Multi Asset Fund
      Rest is fine.

In the current market, no lump sum is advisable for mutual funds. Start your investment via SIP, and whenever the market makes a good correction of more than 10%, invest the remaining amount in a lump sum. Until then, have patience and wait.

Currently No lumpsum is advisable, based on very high valuations and market highs.
Instead start SIPs And keep increasing SIP whenever possible and add small lumpsum amount on every big dips.

No lumpsum investment for now only in case of good corrections and downfall in the market at least more than 10%, for now
Investing via SIP mode is good currently.
Plan for the long term for more than 5-7 years. For now you can go with a small amount of lumpsum 5000 - 10000 only.
