Used to love Nürburgring. Always a good race to be had and It was great to drive. They weren't getting the attendance they needed to make a profit so decided to switch year to year with Hockenheim, but it wasn't enough.

This classic mode is even better than even the f1 2019 and 2020 classic modes as it has older tracks that are not on the f1 calender, authentic pit stop garages and the sound of the legendary Murray Walker.

When this video was posted the 2019 f1 season was only ending so he nobody at the time knew Istanbul would be on calender in 2020
but there isnt in f1 2020 cause it was released before the season delay
this brought back so many memories from 2013, when you would do your 10k sub special, then 20k then 50k it just happened so quickly

this was the year I last went to the Australian GP. Sound of the cars was so much better then compared to now.
Istanbul park was taken out of the calender because of the absence of fans in the stands, spectators were lacking so much that some of the cameras were angled to not show the grandstands, the main reason for this was because of the Istanbul Park circut, being a 2 hour drive from Istanbul (3-4 with traffic) and the lack of intrest of F1 in Turkey. I live in Turkey and Istanbul Park had some of the lowest priced tickets, but the stands were still not filled. However i think this has changed now with the new generation. I have quite a few friends who watch most of the races and even play the official game. So i would love to see Istanbul Park getting another chance, for the rising intrest of F1 in Turkey and the improoved transport which could get one from Istanbul, to Istanbul Park in less than an hour. I would also go to every race myself!

this is the first F1 game i got! my uncle (F1 fan for like 25-30 years) i have it on my xBox 360 and i still play it (i use mac so i have F1 2017 but now i installed boot camp so i wanna get F1 2021) I love the game and i always will (i always play split screen on it with my lil 4yo brother)

2013 was and of a great era in F1 games, as well as F1.
To answer your question on the Nurburgring not being on the calendar it was due to money, if I remember correctly they alternated Hockenheim and Nurburgring every year for the German GP because of Funding.
Unfortunately I didn’t manage to get F1 2013 but i did get 2014 on the Xbox 360 which i loved but the nostalgia is still there.

Only faults are worse AI than 2012 (a little bit that is) and scripted tyre wear that can get a bit annoying. Other than that, great game.

The reason why we don't drive at Nürburgring or Hockenheim anymore. I'm a german by the way. Let's go shortly further back To the times with Schumi Germany was crazy for F1. In the end we got two races in Germany, Hockenheim and Nürburgring, where the Nürburgring was named the GP of Luxemburg or Europe, Like with Valencia back then. Also both tracks became some money from our states Baden- Württemberg (Hockenheim) and Reinland-Pfalz (Nürburgring). After Schumi was gone in 06, the intrest was rapidly went down in Germany, also the years when Vettel and all the other german drivers were driving. Then the rezession and the econemy crises came, even Germany wasn't effected that hard. So the states didn't support both tracks anymore. With that loss of money they had always a loss of money. sometomes several million €, also the reason of the high payment they have to pay to the F1 to allowed to host a GP. Then they started to share. One year Hockenheim other year Nürburgring. Also less vistors came because of the too high ticket prices. One F1 weekend, would vost for a family like a 2 weeks holiday flight to Spain or something. This year Hockenheim could only be held, thanks to Mercedes. They had there celebration year, and there main company factory is around 100 km away from Hockenheim, so they sponsored it. But they said it's only a one time sponsoring.
Same or similar problems also Monza, Silverstone, Canada and Austin have. if the state don't help, they have a big problem. It's really bad that good tracks always have problems like that, and tracks like sotchi, where Putin is paying, they can stay.

I had a love hate relationship with this game. Although I loved the handling model and the way the cars looked, I hated the tyre wear and the lack of upgrades you could put on your car

F1 2011 India. The AI were so slow. My first ever season in an F1 Game. I was on Rookie difficulty, due to me being a noob at the game back then and won the race by 2 laps.

Hey, 2020 is heading in the right direction at least. The handling and ers, ect. Is alot better. The menus and features could be a bit better (my team is fun though).
Also, Murray sounds so old in this game, and it was 7 years ago :(.
everything which is stored into small brain, you can't forget, skills are stored there so you can not to drive bike for 30 years and you still are as good as you were 30 years ago but if you gain weight or muscle, it takes some time for your skill set to learn your new self. but it's just small adjusting to the skill set, you get it pretty fast
Yea it was for money reasons. I think over a couple of years the Nürburgring and the Hockenheim Ring switch every year between each other but then the Nürburgring had a big financial crysis and dropt out completely. One of the reasons was actually the F1 race because to host F1 isn't really profitible for most racetracks

Still find it amazing how the reflections on the cars was so much better back then than it is now 6 yrs later. The mclaren in 2014 too. On 2019 when you use the classic mclarens. The reflections in the chrome bodywork are terrible by comparison to these old gen games
