My son-in-law is in the Air Force.as an engineer. He never speaks in details but he said what you see in these videos are only what they allow to be seen. The actual technology would blow your mind.
When I was in primary school we were learning about the American Revolution and learned that the British navy was the most powerful in the world and dominated the sea. Being a kid I guess I thought that had never changed. At a family gathering they were talking about England for some reason and wanting to impress everyone, even tho the discussion had nothing to do with the military, I confidently told them that England had the most powerful Navy in the WORLD. All the adults stopped and looked at me......and then busted out laughing. I don't know if they were laughing because I was wrong, or amused by a young girl spouting knowledge of the Royal Navy, or because I had made such a bold statement. The laughter made me wilt, suddenly insecure. My uncle, to whom I was a bit of a pet, reassured me that this had been correct for a very long time, but that the USA was "probably" (I think he said probably to spare my feelings) more powerful now. I learned two things that day.....history is history and things change.....and check your sources for dated information......hahaha.
Well to be fair it could easily be argued that the US is a British successor state. So by that metric the US Navy being the strongest. Means we learned it from dad(Great Britain).
About the revolution, remember that our sailors were also British and so was our Navy during the revolution. We had the same ships (and shipbuilding skill) and same sailing skills as the Empire, but were out-numbered. We actually beat the crap out of the British Navy in the beginning so they sent more big ships to kick our asses. Speaking of naval strength, recently the replacement for the Nimitz class carriers has been released. Originally it was intended for each to replace one Nimitz ship but none of those has been retired so the number of carriers keeps increasing instead. Also, the F-35 naval variant can be used by things like amphibious assault ships and helicopter carriers. It's almost like we're cheating, but I don't want a fair fight.
@@LanMandragon1720 Basically, Britain had the most powerful navy in the world because it was historically the only way to even GET to the place. Any invasion of England had to come in by sea, and a powerful navy was the best defense possible for a very long time (basically from the time England took Scotland and Wales to the development of long-range aircraft and missiles.) Now consider the US. Sure, there's Canada, but most of the US's rivals are overseas. This makes naval capabilities, even just logistically for the sake of moving forces, an absolute necessity. Whereas most of Europe is now within range of modern aircraft, making a very strong navy less vital to a war in a European theater, to effectively invade the US you would need naval superiority over a significant distance. The exact same factor of being across significant amount of water from your enemy is at play. And in the end THAT is why we have this crazy navy. This ends my TED talk.

First let me say thank you for all the kind words you say about the USA and our flag! You are the man. Aside from our military might and technology are all tied together by the Air Land Battle Doctrine which is how the USA fights its wars.
When natural disasters happen, the president usually deploys a carrier battle group for humanitarian assistance. they can make 100k gallons of water a day, a hospital on board and thousands of pounds of ready aid, plus the air craft. not to mention all the other ships and what they can do too.

Seeing a B-2 Stealth Bomber fly overhead is amazing. I stopped and watched it fly by and it sure makes you respect what the U.S. has to protect us citizens!
And 6th generation bombers almost complete. Also the military satellite number is laughably low. Almost every ship that goes up with spacex is dumping off 10 to 20 satellites minimum every time.
@@apex_blue yep. The 6th generation fighter seems to be lagging a bit because they use more automation more than bombers. They're also focusing on building drone air refuelers. So probably mostly automated fighters and tankers because of their higher risk and stealth, technology heavy, manned bombers for the near future.
I grew up in the US Navy...during a '74-75 Med cruise, my dad's ship tracked a Russian sub (a "Zulu" class boat) for 49 hour straight... the Russians actually had no choice but to surface because of the lack of fresh air on their boat. A proud moment for all on board dad's ship. Got a pic or two of the Russian boat that my dad took. I with you girl! I love it!! I'm from the south, but my accent only comes out when I've been drinking, or I've spent a TON of time with my extended family... lol, but it's nothing compared to the Scottish Accent!
@@HillaryHuffineThank you girls. I really appreciate it 😁🏴
@@HillaryHuffine I feel the same way! Born and raised in Texas but a Scottish accent makes me melt every time!! ❤️🔥😍😍😍❤️🔥
We are also building submarine "drones"! LOL!
Each ICBM has Multiple warheads
We are the Best of the best. We may be down a little bit now, but whoever thinks we can be taken down, you are mistaken!
Hello, are you familiar with the final boss of planet earth? If no, it’s called the US military
What does Donald Trump have to do with our military strength ? Not a god damn thing !!!
Obama depleted and weakened our military.
President Trump restored funding and authorized an increase in funding and support. He also showed our men and women the love and appreciation that had been lacking from the previous administration.
When giving speeches, our military was assigned to appear for Obama. When Trump spoke, they volunteered to appear. That alone proved the difference in moral. Moral can make all the difference. Appreciation can not be faked.
One thing that always amazed me is the carrier ships and when the plane leaves the ship. Thank you for sharing this
Nothing short of spectacular in every way shape and form!
Navy Veteran in Texas. Great reaction!🇺🇸⚓️
Thank you very much
You should react to "The American Revolution by Over Simplified" if only for 1 reason to little a learn about John Paul Jones, the father of the American Navy. A Scottish immigrant to the US who was pretty successful against the Royal Navy.
The man was out of his mind but in a good way.😂😂
Damn the torpedoes!!! full speed ahead!!!
Might enjoy checking out the A10 Warthog. Awesome plane
We don't shoot them off. It's just if sombody attacts us!
Great reaction video!!! Putting cyber and space aside, I think the one thing this video left out, and it's probably the most important in my opinion, is America's allies and close friends. This is something Russia and China do not have, and judging by their most recent actions around the world, they won't be making many friends anytime soon! 👍 🇺🇸💙🇬🇧🇦🇺🇨🇦🇳🇿
Admiral Yamamoto said that if we invade the US there will be a rifle behind every blade of grass.
The company i now work at made bullets casings by the thousands every day during WW2. Now they make other stuff.
Thanks, I couldn't remember who said that quote
I really like your videos. You help me see my own country through new eyes. We Americans do know how to make things go BOOM.
My nephew was a test pilot for the F35C Tony Wilson
Seeing a B-2 Stealth Bomber fly overhead is amazing. I stopped and watched it fly by and it sure makes you respect what the U.S. has to protect us citizens!
There is already 2 Gerald R Ford Ships built and more are being built
And 6th generation bombers almost complete. Also the military satellite number is laughably low. Almost every ship that goes up with spacex is dumping off 10 to 20 satellites minimum every time.
@@menwithven8114 the b-21 raider right? Honestly I thought 6th gen was all drones but there isn’t really a drawn line in generations.
@@apex_blue but who knows lol. The bombers are pretty much done though and the unmanned air tankers are a forgone conclusion at this point.
A total of 10 Gerald R Ford-class carriers are planned, to replace the 10 existing Nimitz-class carriers on a one-on-one basis.
We're serious about our freedoms God bless America🇺🇸 thank you for playing this video
The M777 155mm howitzer. So cool.
We have 6 military branches Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force, Coast Gaurd, and Space Force.
Don't forget the National Guard and the armed civilians, and our police forces. I could go for a good fight right now.😁😆😁
Don, you would enjoy seeing all military Branches “Bootcamps”.
Please react to: Coast Guard Bootcamp and see a really badass Female Drill Instructor!
My father was an Air Force pilot. 😝♥️
The narrator says "power protection" except the strategy is actually "power projection"
The US Military is constantly upgrading, the US Army replaced the motel curtain uniforms for proper cammo.
The new super carriers are here, and much larger than the Last super carrier... Packing even more weapons
His ship was the USS William H Standley which at the time was designated DLG 32 (It changed to CG 32 in '75). She's now part of a reef 100 miles from the coast of Australia.
“Sir our radars are detecting something! It’s either the US F-22 fleet or a big ass swarm of bumble bees!” 😂
Over in the united states' I've been picked on alot just for having red hair, the most common things I've heard was being called irish or scottish. To me that's not insulting when you think of how tough those two nations actually are
That's just silly, unless you're in high school. If you're an adult, I don't believe you at all. "He's just making it up as he goes along." Adults don't do that here. They just don't. Ever.
@@cenewton3221 I graduated a few years ago but you'd be surprised lol, I was born on saint Patrick's day as well so that only added Insult to injury. It was never to the point of being serious but it's just easy to make jokes
King David had red hair and ruddy red cheeks. Your probably his kind.
I meant kin.
I've been on the Nimitz
A small Suggestion to improve your vids: Consider pausing the vid if you want to make a comment and not over talk it. Your remark gets buried in with the sound track and the whole is poorer for it.
However also try not to over do paused remarks too if you do so.
It seems all the nations in the world looks to America as the freedom fighting nation and always leads NATO forces, for example, since USA forces are leaving Afghanistan, the European forces are also leaving because they can't do their job without the United States. God bless America and all the other world nations!!
And it’s all done with free choice enlisting, haven’t had a draft since the Vietnam War.
The U.S. took out biggest navy in the world Japan during WWII and haven't looked back
a misslie can be launched from 500 miles away, nape of the earth traveling, have it go through the door without touching the frame and then explode in the basement.

The best thing about the USA having all these weapons and technology...is the fact we have it to protect our people..and protect any other nation that needs our help!!Protect Freedom around the world...that is what it's all about!!

You should react to a video on Darpa. No other country has anything like it. It was the USA response to the Soviets launching Sputnik.
DARPANET was the precursor to civilian internet and was around in the 60's.

Basically having this one country as a superpower makes everybody stay in line cuz they don't want to hurt one of our friends and retaliation from us
@Scott Anderson do you know what henders people themselves stop blaming other people for hindering you
@Scott Anderson you're blaming Hitler it can be another Hitler in a matter of years look at China look at North Korea it's a matter of time Russia matter of time
@Scott Anderson then what do you have against my post
@Scott Anderson America would not got into world war II if it wasn't for the lies of the British prime minister and Japan bombing Pearl harbor Hitler did not want to face America
@Scott Anderson Say that again. Say that again with something that makes sense.
The Gerald R. Ford class carrier is so much better than the Nimitz its not even close.
I only understood every 3rd word he said but I'm with him👍
Navy vet here--very proud of our military! Trump supporter here--so love his plan for the future. And along comes Biden:-(
Trump won that election and the government rigged that sht 100%
Why anyone who is serving or has served would ever support Trump blows my mind. From what he said about McCain to ignoring Russia putting bounties on the heads of our military, he doesn’t give a damn about our military. And along comes Biden who does give a damn. :-)
@@cherylhaynes3960 that's exactly why I support him--I am military! There's things the GP does not know when it comes to military and what they carry out. Way too much to talk about here. will gladly talk about it somewhere other than here. Let's just enjoy his reactions here.
You failed to say, should the USA ever has to face an invasion, besides the military. The American people own more guns than there is population.
The people of the US are the largest standing unofficial army, larger than the largest official standing army in China.
Good video. Love the Rangers scarf in the background! 😉
Love your upbeat attitude
I just subbed after your tomb of the unknown video. Really happy to find you!

After Viet Nam I wanted to de-escalate the American war machine. After 9-11 I did a 180. Valuable lesson learned when we sleep we are attacked! Never again is my motto!!!! Yes I’m an old woman but I remember what Father taught us ” Don’t ever start a fight but by God if one is started you better finish it.” Makes me so proud that we walk tall and carry a big stick!!!!
When living in Everett, WA my dentist's office overlooked the harbor where the USS Abraham Lincoln ports. It is something to see.
After 9.11 there was security and concern over the numerous Russian immigrants living in the area. There is also an army base in Seattle.
You were so lucky! The view from my dentist's office overlooks a Kroger Supermarket and a 7-11.

Hello from Florida! First let me say I love your channel. My grandparents came to the U.S. from Scotland (Edinburgh and Paisley) in the early 20th century. We have our own tartan and coat of arms and can traced our family name back to the 1200's when they fought for Robert-The-Bruce. My family also has a village in Scotland named after them.
Thank you very much Rob. Do you have a kilt with your family tartan?
No. I have the tartan but not a kilt.
