MK4 GTI Stainless Steel Exhaust Build is complete - time for a test drive

- Finished up the stainless steel exhaust build on the MK4 GTI and then went for a test drive to see how it sounded. Super happy with the outcome and had no odd noises or clunks out of the exhaust.
Build details are a full 3" exhaust system using a 42 Draft Designs catted downpipe and then a custom built catback system using 3" round stainless steel tubing and then transitioning to 3" oval stainless steel tubing to go over the rear axle. Then transitioning back to round for the muffler section and all joints in the cat-back section being V-bands. All materials used came from Stainless Bros (www.stainlessbros.com) and Stainless Headers Mfg (www.stainlessheaders.com) to build the entire cat-back system.
Now on to driving this thing to Tail of the Dragon!

Which muffler is that? In that considered the thin oval? 3”? Which length. I just sold my racecar to put the money into my 20thae. You car Sounds really good.

Thank you for the response. My 20th is black magic pearl. The prices on their website are very affordable. I was expecting sticker shock but truthfully I was like wow I’m going to buy this. Keep posting videos. I’m on long island so PA isn’t a far drive. Once it’s road worthy I’ll head out your way.
Ah nice! I love black magic pearl for how subtle it is compared to all the other 20th color options. Yea I order all the stuff I use for exhaust work from that website because it's pretty affordable and good quality. I order all the oval stuff I use from Stainless Headers Mfg just because Stainless Bro's doesn't make it. Plan is to keep making content, just need to find more time to do it haha You'll have to make the trip to Cult Classic in Coopersburg at the end of June or VAG Fair in York on August 11th. Hope to see it out at a show this year!
