It's funny how people forget that the US Army performed one of the largest amphibious assault operations in history, called, D-Day and in the 21st century need to get that ability back, create an Expeditionary Combat Brigade that have Amphibious and Airborne capabilities, if the Army is true about being modular then this should make some sense, I mean it's the 21st Century and full spectrum warfare cares less about inner service rivalries. Another thing, why do the Army have an air assault and an airborne division, 21st Century tip, make both Airborne divisions performing both air assault and airborne, that way maximizing combat effectiveness, instead of limiting ops because of "traditions" Not saying they don't matter, include them, just bring them into the 21st, the 101st and 82nd both should be Airborne/Air Assault.
