*People fail to realize that contact paper is thick and waterproof, so drips and spills stay on the surface until you wipe them up. S. - I love your channel, and your voice is so soothing. Lol 🤗
I would use a blow dryer on a warm setting but low air. It may reactivate the glue on that one corner I have used one to smooth and stretch out linoleum during minor repairs.
Yes & ppl believe contact paper brings bugs 🤣. I had this same one in my old apt under the sink, I had alot of issues with leaks from the kitchen sink. The contact paper actually saved the wood under the sink only a small portion was wet. My only regret is that I bought it from homedepot so spent about $8 but still worth it.
Thank you for posting an update! That's my one pet peeve about a lot of budget home decor youtubers' videos - there's no follow up on the durability. I love this idea and really could have used this for one of my old apartments...the kitchen tile was so gross looking.

Doing this project this week. I have been having a hard time justifying the cost in fixing up my someone else's property. THIS VIDEO IS GOLD!!! THANK YOU! GLAD I FOUND UR CHANNEL. ☺️
Wait, really? Was your shower tiled or plastic? My parents have a serious problem keeping their plastic shower walls from getting mildew-y no matter what they use to clean it & it was a custom size, so they're not in a place to replace it outright...
I’m so happy you did an update!!! The video was so thorough thank you I subscribed when i watched you put the contact paper down and I’m glad I did can’t wait to give this a try 🌺
Going on a year and half having contact paper on my bathroom counter with 3 kids and it makes the mess so easy to clean up and wipe off. Nothing has peeled up yet so i havent changed the ugly counter out.. did the white marble. Ive also used to black chalk board contact paper on one of my kids play desk and it works for chalk and is still holding strong after a year as well 😊
Hi, I found your video putting it down about two weeks ago and subbed right away💞👏 I also went to my Dollar tree and purchased the same antique birch contact paper and put it down in my kitchen and bathroom. I have a decent size kitchen and have a 5'7' area rug that I just did around it LOL 🤣 and it only cost $7😵😱😎 So far so good and I absolutely love love love it!!! Everyone can't believe how well it turned out and has been holding up great. I also did my kitchen countertop in a different print and it looks great too. I rent as well and really hated the linoleum that was here but didn't really want to invest too much money and already went the using rugs route and it was much pricer than this. And I think it's great because when you get tired of the print it's easy and inexpensive to change every year if you choose. I think a marble pattern will be my next choice next year😍 Thank you so very much for all your help and support and inspiration!! I pray your situation is better with your landlord and your family is doing well. TFS, much love and many blessings to you and yours 💞 ✝️
This is an amazing diy for people renting even if it gets ruined after a few months I’m sure it won’t hurt the bank to get more every other month when/if it gets damaged, I’m obsessed and I don’t even rent and I have actual wood floor so I can’t do this on my room cause the wood would get damaged I’m sure, or maybe not but I don’t want to find out lol.

Nah, don't poly, keep it simple because by the time it all starts to come apart...INVEST ANOTHER $3 AND SWITCH IT UP!!!! I feel like an old dork because I think this is so GENIUS!!!!
This is a great idea. I saw one youtuber who rents place Poster board on top of her floor, then place laminate floor on top of that. I know sounds kooky, but it was brilliant cuz she got the Look she wanted, it was durable, then when she moved, she could just pick up her floor and reuse it in her new apartment ,,,,Brilliant!!. Maybe using Posterboard,,or some other type of subfloor material could be used with this Contact paper to make it transferable to another area, or just not have to worry about the floor of the rental unit. I like this idea for my kids room and laundry room to use with peel and stick floor tiles, and now thinking how and where Contact paper might work😁 Thanks for the idea!

This idea is amazing. I did it to my hideous counters from the 70s. Sadly, the floors I have are too bumpy from the tile finish coming off to make this work. @Miss Nicole did you do your flooring? I'd like to know how it turned out. My kitchen floor looks like the video and I'm thinking of doing this.
Just a hint. If you're having a hard time removing any contact type thing, use a hairdryer. The hot air helps to loosen the adhesive
