...Except she did. She acted regularly from Wonder Years on (while also getting a degree in Mathematics from UCLA).
She does seems like a nice person though, it's as if not everyone (most) in entertainment fit into your hollyweird box. Guess you'll have to find something else to make yourself feel superior.
I see her all the time on the Hallmark Channel Christmas specials they put on.

@@tclancy13 Well she sort of did and it took a very very long time for her to fine sustained success. It also took her a very long time for her to accept that EVERYONE will only see her as Winnie from The wonder years and actually make a decent living after the show while accepting that people only really want to continually talk about it. She's been pretty open about both topics.

been in love with her as long as i can remember. plus im one of those who nearly maxed my verbals but have a maths learning disability. not only is she wonderful (no pun intended... ok maybe...) as an actresss but as a real person. maths are lucky to have her as an ambassador.

@@eadghe Very true, but it is based on other things as well that is why she is liked. Let's look at what she did. She is a public figure so we can only see what is available to us publicly and that is she doesn't do drugs, not an alcoholic like a bunch of Hollywood, actually got a degree and not some easy degree like Drama Art, etc. but Math. Published some books on math as well. So, yeah she got some good credits for being a good role model.

Winnie Cooper, my childhood crush.
Yeah. She's great and all. But I still think Kevin should've dumped Winnie and gone off with that temptress, Madeline (Julie Condra). Still hard to believe she was near 6 years older than Fred when her scenes were shot. Can you imagine making out with a 19-year old girl on camera when you were 13? Had to have been a bit weird for both of them. Anyhow, loved that part of the show. I still bust out laughing and can't stop when Kevin's ID bracelet comes back engraved "Kevin Amold".
I remember her from the show.
And I said she is going to be so gorgeous when she reaches adulthood.
So I kept looking at my watch waiting.......

An achingly cute girl who grew up to be a beautiful woman! On the show, her character was deeply affected by her brother's death and car accident. Her first relationship with Kevin was fraught with difficulties but she came through it all with flying colors. As did Danica, it seems. The Wonder Years is a timeless series that encapsulates the trials and traumas of youth. With lessons as bitter as lemons and memories as sweet as strawberries.

It was an artistic choice and I believe the writers were smart to finish the story that way…The show always stayed very true to life… And the overwhelming majority do not end up marrying their first love/teen sweetheart...Not that they can’t marry their first love… Seldom that it happens though... after re-watching the show as an adult, they weren’t a great match for one another… but as an 11-year-old child, I was heartbroken like everybody else… Haha.

She’s got her head on straight. Good for her. She’s also right about a reboot. It was a nostalgic show so it really wouldn’t fit present day. But if it weren’t a nostalgic show and a reboot were possible, throw enough money towards anybody’s way, including Fred Savage, and I guarantee you they’ll say yes.

Some series should be revisited, rebooted, what have you. Some should not. Doesn't mean one is better or worse than the other, it's just that it might work with some, and wouldn't work with others. I'm happy to let "The Wonder Years" be what it was. It was so great, there's simply no need to try to add anything more to it.
They are rebooting it, and making it an all black show. Fred Savage is involved, and pushed for it to be all black.
