    Thank you so much for showing how to undo these. I have seen a ton of videos showing how to make them but anytime I used them I ended up with a tangled mess when it was time to undo it and climb.

    Thanks for the video, really nice method on the Butterfly coil.
    Making the Mountaineer's coil in this way, with all the loops in the same direction, tends to introduce a twist into the rope. Maybe no big deal for a short bit of cord for making anchors, but very apparent in e.g. extension cords and garden hoses that are stored this way for an extended period. The solution is to make alternating wraps in opposite directions, then the twists cancel one another out and the loops sit nicely.

    What rope do you use for that 50 ft top rope anchor? Some static line?
