I played for him in 1971 ie Remember the Titans #14 the Titans r going to heaven to find peace. We should have never been under that type of pressure! We for real had to win every game. Andrew Lewis's coach said a black dog came into his office and ran out with its tail between it legs he said it must be a TC Williams player. And of course reporters were there and they printed it on the front page of their paper. So when we got into the locker room before the game that paper was taped up all over the locker room. I never saw my team get so up set. We were and I quote gonna bust em up. The players from Andrew Lewis never had a chance. They said we had a 100 or 80 players! Not true count em in the team photo 65. You boys pissed off a real monster. Never had I seen a team so mad. 27-0 and we could have run it up. Bang

I went to school at neighboring Washington-Lee HS at this very time. I even know Frankie Glascoe, who ran that winning touchdown at the end of the movie. But no, racial tensions did not run high. That's total BS.
The truth is that this was NOT a true story. Much of the racial strife in the movie was exaggerated, and schools in Northern VA had been integrated since 1965.
TC Williams was also the first "Super School" in Virginia AAA division. They had an all-star team of 3 consolidated high schools. Many in NoVA questioned if it was even fair for other schools to have to play TC Williams.
Thank you for eve you have done the world needs more of you coach
Herman Boone was a TITAN - ALL BY HIMSELF! May he forever R.I.P.
Such a trailblazer! I salute you Mr. Boone

Boone did not leave T.C. Williams voluntarily. He was fired in 1979 amid numerous complaints of player abuse.
Thank you! He was fired!!!! #14 Remember the Titans!
There was no last minute game winning td. That championship game wasn’t competitive. May not have even been fair.TC Williams was too good.
1:25 I was looking at the Google maps in the timeline It was completely different that day.
How about the real rest of the story??
Muito bom! Uma lição de vida.
Rip coach Boone .
My thoughts to his family.

Most movies based on a true story or exaggerated if not, it would be boring as hell 😂
@@johnmanning4097 It's one thing to exaggerate or embellish, but when it was done to the extent as it was in this movie then it's fiction.
