    I love blueberry muffins, and now I am craving one! That thicker dough with yogurt and buttermilk added as needed really makes good sense! Your addition of the sugar on top is a win for me, too! This is a must try for me!

    The muffins look delicious! I learned the flour coating trick years ago from my grandmother and this rings true any time your adding fruit to a cake or muffin. I coat the candied fruit as well before adding it to my fruitcake. I enjoyed your video and you leaving in your little mishaps keep it real. Also, another reason I enjoy watching is that you could pass for my beloved great aunt's twin sister.

    These muffins look so delicious! Appreciate the tip about flouring the frozen blueberries, too. My favourites are cranberry, as well as banana & walnuts. But my parents, and partner love blueberry muffins, I’ve got all the ingredients to give them a try.

    I love putting sugar on top of muffins, but I usually forget. Blueberry is definitely one of my favorite muffins, and I can’t wait to try your recipe. I also like lemon poppyseed blackberry muffins. Sounds like a lot but fairly simple. Think I got the recipe from…Sally’s baking addiction.

    I love blueberry muffins and yours look beautiful❤ I have never used whole milk plain yogurt before in a muffin recipe but it sounds good . I always have plain whole milk Greek yogurt, can I use that or is that too thick? I always sprinkle my muffins with sugar in the raw also. 😊

    Hi, Renee! These look fantastic, and I’ll bet they taste fantastic, too! How much extra time did you give them? It was an excellent decision, cuz the extra browning takes them up a notch, not just visually, but I’m sure with the crunch, too. I’ve only made muffins from a box mix, and they looked and tasted meh. My hubby loves blueberry muffins, especially with lemon. If I wanted to make the dough more of a lemon flavor, how do you suggest I do so? Thank you again for this helpful demonstration!

    • @kitchenintheshire
      @kitchenintheshire  3 месяца назад +2

      I didn't time the extra browning, but I think it was a little less than 3 minutes. I just watched them until they got to the brown I wanted. Regarding the lemon, you could add a bit more zest, but I would probably experiment with adding a bit of fresh lemon juice. Thank you for the great questions.

      @@kitchenintheshire I’m always a little hesitant to add any extra liquid to a batter or dough for fear it will change the texture of the final product. If I were to add lemon juice, as you suggest, would it be an amount such as a tablespoon or more like 1/4 cup? And is my concern about added liquid to batter or dough changing texture really a necessary concern? Thank you for your responses to all my somewhat inane questions! 🌸

    OMG! Those muffins look scrumdillyicious! I must try...I love the idea of using frozen blueberries, too. And yes, I think the jazzy sounds in the background were perfect...not too much, just the right amount of a musical touch. One of my 'pet peeves' is that so many videos have music competing with the message rather than complementing it.
    Thank you for such a wonderful recipe!
    Question: It appears that your muffin tin was well buttered. I assume I need to do the same. so they don't stick? I'm new with making muffins.

    • @kitchenintheshire
      @kitchenintheshire  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes. You can use butter, shortening, cooing spray, etc. I also butter the top of the pan so the tops don't stick as they rise and spread out. Thank you for the comments!!!

    I dislike jazz very much. I do, however, appreciate that the music is not extremely loud as so many times is the case. I would prefer that there be no music since I have hearing loss and wear hearing aids and music along with talking keeps me from hearing the talking. If music is used I prefer some pleasant Classical Music.
