Tabletop Time Machine videos should be posted to youtube in some funny order (maybe reverse to filming or chronological by time landed in) so that there could be references to jokes from "previous" episodes that haven't happened yet.
3:30: Ooh, there's an idea. Edit in a little battery icon at the edge of the screen and have it fill up a little each time someone charges the fact batteries...and have it drain a little each time someone gives a really, really wrong answer. It's a little more editing work, but it might sell the concept better.
IMHO The time mashine format really works, That being said, i think sticking the four of you in a kitchen with Go-pros infront of you is a recipie for laughter anyways
I would love to see this but with a bit more of a budget, like having a screen behind them that shows a battery being charged or something, and at the end of the show it will show a time vortex kind of visual to signify that they're heading off to another time
my grandmother went on a cruise and found a meeting for the "friends of Dorothy" Her name is Dorothy, by the way. She went to the meeting and announced to the attendees, " I'm Dorothy, and I suppose you are all my friends" which is when she found out that the meeting was for LGBT+ folks. she was NOT taken aback and made some wonderful friends that evening
Chris already has read all the books there are (he gets them directly from the Author when they come out) and Garry Brannan might be your Favorit up until now, could change tho as the Time passes on.
It needs some kind of explicit rule or on-screen display for how charged the fact-battery is. Are they looking for 8 facts? Are various facts weighted differently? Without that, it seems like mild groping in the dark for information Tom accepts and comes across as 'Citation Needed' sans a single cohesive topic.
On one hand, Citation Needed worked perfectly fine without any hard rules for how close you need to be to get a point (to say nothing of the Mystery Biscuits), and it didn't seem like anyone was paying too close of attention to the points. On the other hand...yeah, this could use some refinement.
Maybe the time machine's travels are the true origin OF the mystery biscuits? We don't know where they came from, or even really what they are, they just appeared one day in the middle of the control console, and everyone's just a little bit too scared to actually open them and collapse the waveform. Perhaps for TTTM they could be upgraded to SCHRODINGER'S BISCUITS
Okay, I really like this format. Needs a knockoff tardis sound for charging, a ding for when they're at full charge, and a lever to throw with a satisfying kachunk.
Find 3 mates, find something to talk about, and make them guess. Simple format, not difficult to achieve, do a little editing and you have your own. I'm not saying that it's a replacement, but it'd be good to look back on yourself and your mates in a decade or so, for shits and giggles.
I'm afraid I don't know. All I have in my time machine are kitchen appliances and the best I have is a 24 hour clock on my oven. In hindsight this was a bad idea.
I love being back in the kitchen. I also love this series. For some reason I am much more capable of yelling right answers, making it very engaging. Although I thought Russia when you said concrete. This was a good one, guys.
I need to get into some hobbyist electronics, because throwing together a little time travel box with a battery indicator and a lever would make for a great gift.
I absolutely loved these. Needed a giggle today, and am slightly hysterical instead. You guys work so brilliantly together. Even if you don't do this exactly the same again, you have to do _something_ like it. The Technical Difficulties team absolutely bloody rocks!
You all clearly enjoy the Tabletop Time Machine the most out of the experiments. As such they are also the most enjoyable to watch. Now all you need is a fact battery meter and a giant lever.
That was great! I still think that this is one of the best ideas you've had on these experiments (unless you count the Nth Degree and double horses) and I hope to see more of it sometime soon. Great videos guys!
Definitely like tabletop time machine the best - glad you guys decided to do it again as your final experiment, I hope to see it on Tom's main channel :)
One might have thought of Grand Coulee Dam instead, with nearly four times as much concrete as Hoover Dam. Same era, construction begun just a couple of years later.
This feels like the best format of the three (I mean, they've all been pretty good cos y'know, chemistry, but...) - and there's a fair chunk of years to work with even if you restrict it to the last 500 years so there are enough known facts to charge the battery with.
Just a heads up: Roosevelt was the one known for the massive back-to-work infrastructure and job plans. Hoover’s term in office ran out almost immediately after the 1929 crash
Each player should get their own fact batteries, and the one who charges their battery the most gets to drive the time machine home. OR is the only one who gets to go home? You need some animation
So I just watched all four experiments, and was crying laughing at all of them. As long as you lads have something to crack wise about, it hardly matters what format you put it in!
Trivia time machine should be like an edutainment show where they just go to a random time and stumble into knowing random trivia about what happened then.
One of the 'Life in the UK' test questions is: 'who invented radar?' (answer: Robert Watson-Watt). Quite interesting isn't it that four intelligent, well-informed Britons who have lived here since birth didn't know that.
In like 1st grade I loved the Magic Treehouse books and my friend and I would pretend that one of the play structures on the playground was a time machine and we’d have to guess where we were and try to fix things
I think if you were doing a series of this, it might be interesting to mention one of the natives from your current era being carried along with the time machine; and the thing that surprises them most about the next destination. End each episode with a teaser for the next, a single fact through the eyes of a temporally displaced person.
I'm just picturing a prop for the batteries. Something where you hit the buzzer every time there is a fact and it adds a random increment to an LCD display on the front
Tabletop Time Machine videos should be posted to youtube in some funny order (maybe reverse to filming or chronological by time landed in) so that there could be references to jokes from "previous" episodes that haven't happened yet.
I think that actually happened with a few episodes of the Park Bench that they intentionally filmed out of order.

This is it - the last experiment. Thanks for watching, folks! -- Tom
dammit tom, always with the time travelling!
by the way, these were really cool, thank you!
I really did enjoy these experiments you guys had.
Who the hell is bulking up like the Hulk?! 🤣
They were awesome. Thanks for making them.
Chris Joel lists *all* the aircraft speed records... yep I think the fact batteries are fully charged...
...he's an ornithologist, right?
I think he just loves things that fly.

Maybe with some sound effects too. Knock-off TARDIS or something like that.
Also perhaps electric sound effects for correct answers
might be better with Chris Joels' "wom wom wom wom" sound effect. ;-]
sounds like a hassle
Don't really need to "sell" it at all. I'm hooked. That's just fluff.
IMHO The time mashine format really works, That being said, i think sticking the four of you in a kitchen with Go-pros infront of you is a recipie for laughter anyways
Just needs some set dressing of the table to make it look more mad-sciencey, and rigging up greenscreen behind the players...
@@gwenynorisu6883 you could make a cheap set, have someone as the computer, and make it a kids educational show
I've come to the conclusion it doesn't matter what you four do, its always funny and great watching. Keep it up...
So you're the one to blame for the Mario Kart episode! :P
This needs to become a full series.
With a set, but it’s still a table, but they have a small dorm-like kitchen and seat belts
It already will have done.

I feel like TechDiff has talked about the Friends of Dorothy before.
@@KazyEXE edit: so I was thinking of this episode, just replied before rewatching.
That is such a heartwarming story
I love the way that Gary and Chris react to scanners.
"We have scanners!"
I think Tabletop Time Machine is one of my favorite of the experiments. Glad it got a second experiment.
Why can't We know if Chris reads books or not ?Also how am I supposed to know if this Gary Brannan is my favorite Gary Brannan ?

The entire conversation about clamping a time machine and time traveling if it's clamped had me in stitches XD
The time machine kitchen parking meter debate is one of the best imaginary scenarios these guys have ever come up with, along with the juggling cow.

This has been great fun. I hope there's more to come!
One day, Tom will be doing the intro and tell everyone to charge the bat factories.
Come, comrades! Seize the means of echolocation!
I am currently stuck in a Kitchen Time Machine that has been clamped. Send help.
When?
I'm afraid I don't know. All I have in my time machine are kitchen appliances and the best I have is a 24 hour clock on my oven. In hindsight this was a bad idea.
It's not a time machine, you just haven't figured out how to set the clock so that's why it's 12 o'clock all the time.
You don't understand. I think I did go back in time - I just did the dishwasher cycle and now they've all piled up on the work surface again!
Can you give us your time and location?
This needs to be a full blown series! but i would strongly request to have some sound effects. thank you

This. This is pure art.
you could break the speed of sound on a horse, if you crack a whip whilst sitting on it :)
Whilst that _will_ make the horse run a little faster, the best you're going to get is about Mach 0.05, possibly 0.06.
I've enjoyed all the experiments but tabletop time machine is the most refined to turn into a full series
Did I mention that Matt is and always will be my favourite
While the TU-95 bear was quick it was actually the TU-114 that holds the record. They share engines though.

Thank you for making my Saturdays more interesting.
After Matts comment, I think we need to see these four playing Hungry Hungry Hippos
This is the format! A series of this would be awesome :-).

Mine went to the U boat docks at the France cost.
@@sirBrouwer oh yeah the ones at St. Nazaire was it?

There are also pens in Bordeaux. A large concrete structure could also be the buildings at Peenemunde.

small mistake in the subtitles which i can't fix. Gary said "The BBC invented RADAR?" but the subs say "the BBC rented radar?"
