This is a great episode. It's X Files doing Black Mirror, way before Black Mirror. And they are dealing with uploading consciousness here, and not for the last time. This episode has strong cyberpunk vibes, and that's because it was written by a famous Cyberpunk novellist, William Gibson. Despite the fact that the execution didn't age very well (due to old technologies), I still think the overall themes fit pretty well in our current times. Things I like here: The opening scene is one of my favorites of the whole series, so intriguing. I like the use of music here, thinking of Twilight Time. Kung Fu Scully vs. Bimbo nurses = awesomeness. The episode is clever, but also has a lot of humor, it has thrilling elements, action, great production values, and finally some bizarre elements. Love it.
Scully is a badass in this episode (I mean she always is, but in this particular episode she makes it very clear). My favorite part was Scully acting like a ninja and then blowing out her lock of hair in Mulder's hallucination. I have to tell you that some details of this storyline will return in season 11, combined with some of "Ghost in the Machine" from season 1.
Heyy - so listen with the files of X as long as it’s not a season finalé your fine, watch them in any order you like. Side note: you’re both really cool
Not true. Theres happening so much inbetween a season opening and a finale. Each season has 2 'midseason' twoparters and sometimes multiple additional mythology-single-episodes. And sometimes important stuff happens in monster of the weeks, in sense of characterdevelopment for example. I would not recommend a random order, cause it's way more understandable and therefore enjoyable if watched in the right order. But I know Shelley once said, that she hates it, when things are not in the right order, so I'm sure she won't let that happen again. 😅

Isn’t anyone going to mention Scully’s atrocious driving when they’re trying to escape the shipping containers??? 😂
Her little feet couldn't reach the pedals.
luckily these eps don't influence the plot order but be careful because there are some double episodes coming
Yeah, thankfully there’s no cliffhanger episodes in this stretch. Is it the service you’re using that has everything off?
This episode.. Legit scared me...
Scully channels Emma Peel in the fight scene.
I can't be the only one wondering about what those nurses are doing with their hands under the blanket. 😆
They are massaging the limbs so they dont die. Also, is a nightmare/ fantasy. So yeah.
You guys have problems with your titles. Also every time I watch this I have twilight time in my head for a week
