Thank you so much for this video. Don't have a Boler but purchased a old Jalousie camper window for my Serro Scotty rebuild and took it apart without taking pictures. BAD IDEA! Your video is helping me put it back together.
Have you had a chance to make a video of the reassembly? I'm having difficulty figuring out how to get the seals in place while putting the metal frame around the glass pane.
Hi Ian, Should I be able to repair/replace the window jalousie crank mechanism without removing or dismantling the entire window? Boler 1980. Thank you.
I have the same windows in my 73 Scotty. I’m having trouble choosing the exact replacement seals for the windows. Could you please reply with the link to the actual seals needed for this identical window? Item numbers would be much appreciated.
1970 Shasta Have a hehr window like the one in your video. The bottom pane came out with a little fanagling. The top one will not come loose from the frame. It's like it's got something by the frame locking it in place. I've played with the hinge bracket no luck. Any suggestions to get this thing out?
I am happy to have come across this video! My window is missing the bottom part of the bottom panel and the what looks like the left part of the same panel. Is there any hope to fix it or do I have to look for a replacement window?
Hello Robert, Thank you for the comments Sorry but I have not had the time to complete a reassembly video yet. If you own a Boler I have been working on a very comprehensive website to help Boler or Scamp owners with common problems, maintenance and modifications. www.Boler-Camping.com
Ian Giles I don't have one. Mines a 69 security camper but I have both types of joulousie Windows. 4 row and 2 row. 9 on my door. I found your video very informative. Subscribed. Thanks
So glad I found this! I looked for hours last night for a video with my same windows. Question... What's in between the glass and the frame? Is it a rubber gasket or is it caulk?
The window uses a small vinyl "U" channel gasket. Vintage Trailer Supply have what you are looking for www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Small-U-Gasket-p/vts-218.htm
Ian, Great video! I have a 1970 ECO, which is essentially the same as your Boler. I would like to know where you'd get the seals and gaskets for these little gems, is there a model # stamped somewhere on these windows? any leads would be appreciated. thanks jeff
To make removing the screws easier and reduce the chance of the screw breaking heat the aluminum channel with a heat gun, this will expand the aluminum and help. Always replace the screws when reassembly. I polished the aluminum with a cotton buffing wheel on an 8" bench grinder using diamond grit (white) polishing bar. See my video on polishing the hinges, on the window frame you do not need to do any sanding or grinding prior to polishing, proceed directly to using the white polishing compound on the buffing wheel

Thank you Jeff. I list many parts and suppliers on my website www.boler-camping.com/boler-parts/
I wished my windows came apart that easy, the screws are glued and rusted in place. Do you use a wired brush to clean the frame?

Thank you, for the info I will get a heat gun and make pretty windows
