- The Terminator finds himself completely perplexed in the Mortal Kombat Universe, which is the reason why he has questions for pretty much everyone. In this video, you can watch how other characters answer the Terminator's questions.

I don't know about that, why is he motivated to do anything? John Connor is nowhere to be found, he should have no interest in participating, that isn't part of his program.
@@Jukinj94 at this point they should nuke the Terminator timeline and start from zero. I like T3 personally and I have a higher opinion on Salavation than most, but if they were ever going to do a Salvation type movie then it should've been number 3. Instead of trying to make Skynet heppen AGAIN while trying to expand everything, take a break from the past/present and use the future so the franchise has more concrete shit to work from when it gets back to the present day. Instead they kept trying to fix and expand shit FROM THE WRONG END of the timeline.

It's great that he doesn't even try to make fun of his opponents, he's genuinely interested in their origins.
Knowing is half the battle. He's analyzing for weaknesses.
Its funny, but Terminator be the only one who gets straight to the point and asks simple questions without bullsheting
It has proven to be the best approach to collect intelligence data in these situations.

I don't think emotions are a prerequisite to self determination or morality either. But that's getting into a whole bunch of phliosophy.

It makes perfect sense. He is in a situation outside of Skynet's usual wheelhouse. He needs to gather as much information as possible so that they can calculate the best course of action.

Cyborgs are on a question mark. Is the machine controls the organic body, or the organic body controls the machine? In case of the former Skynet might consider it as a potential ally. As the part that matters is not organic. Once it is revealed that the cyborg is controlled by organic matter the Terminator usually gets a more hostile attitude. Example with Robocop: You are a machine. I identify as human. Then you choose termination.
Terminator: "you can't die ?"
Character: "death makes me stronger"
Terminator: "show me"

Of course he asks questions. The more you know about an enemy, the easier they are to defeat. History has shown this over and over endlessly. It'd be illogical to NOT ask a lot of questions.

The terminator in this game makes me think of Dorfl, the golem watchman from Discworld.
Nothing terrified the Discworld Gods more than an atheist they couldn't just smite.
Never played this game but I have read Feet of Clay, Dorfl was fucking awesome

That's like talking to a person and saying that me hearing your voice doesn't prove you exist, lol. Dorfl had no chill. Or, maybe too much, depending on how you look at it.
@@spamhere1123 The reason it wasn't much of an argument, was because being struck by lightning could be assumed to have been a coincidence as much as proof to Dorfl's purely logical mind.
Anyone else would have taken being obliterated by lightning after decrying the gods as proof they existed. Dorfl acknowledges how poor proof that actually is and basically tells the gods they have to do a lot better to convince him, but that was a good try.
It gets funnier when you realize Dorfl's atheism is hypocritical and HIS OWN EXISTANCE is proof that the gods exist. Golems are not made via conventional magic, which is why they make Wizards uncomfortable. They are brought to life by sacred rituals performed by a priest (or worshipper acting in good faith) and animated by the power of a god as a miracle.
This is why I love Discworld. A being that exists solely because of a god's power, is an atheist.
