Hey man you are becoming main face for Rockwell razors 😃 great video , T2 looks damn good on the first pass , like your not cutting but just "erasing" hairs from the face. Effortless. 👍
New to DE (3 months). Started with the 34C and then bought the 6C. 3 plate is perfect for my skin. BBS every day with Astra SP blades. Now thinking about a T2, as I’d like to dial down for my lower neck area. Great videos. I’m learning a lot and really appreciate your efforts.
Another good comparison shave with Rockwell razors. IMO, no one will be disappointed with either Rockwell safety razor. It comes down to whether they want to adjust "on the fly" or by "flipping" a plate. I have the Henson+, the Leaf Twig, the Merkur 34C, the Rex Ambassador (and a few others). But my Rockwell 6S tops them all for comfortable, efficient, and irritation-free shaves.
I got started with the Leaf Twig, and I just made the switch and went "all in". I bought the T2 and I don’t regret it at all. My first shave with my T2 was better than any shave I ever got with my Leaf Twig. I still have a lot of learning to do, but for me, it was a great purchase. I'd recommend the T2 to anyone. I love all the videos - long or short - I always pick up a tip. Keep up the great content.
Honestly, David at Ohio_Shaves makes many other wet shaving content creators seem like amateurs. I appreciate his honesty. He’s my go to shaving channel on this shaving journey!
Great video and shave. I have both of these razors in gunmetal also. On the 6C I get the best shave with the 3 and 4 plate. On the T2 I have a problem finding the correct angle. If I use the 4 setting I get irritation. Not giving up on the T2 yet. I will keep trying. The blades I use in both are Kai and Gillette Wilkinson Sword from India. That is what works for my skin and razor combo. Favorite soaps are Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements and Sterling Soaps. Have a great week.
I bought a 6C gunmetal this week to replace my rusty Fatip, and i'am really impressed with the first shave (setting 3). Very good razor and build for live (i hope)
Thanks for this video, I'm still struggling with DEs myself. Just did my third shave with my fat boy with poor results myself. I'm trying hard to learn proper wet shaving myself, I'm also doing my face and my head at the same time
I still struggle with my fatBoy as well. I haven’t got one good shave out of it ever. If I want to post a shaving fail video I use it or the Merkur Futur. There are better options out there.
@OhioShaves have you tried the rex ambassador or rex konsul for head and face? I agree it is frustrating i use electrics or my leaf the most at the moment
Well, the leaf is definitely the smoothest razor I have ever used. My wife loves it. As for the Rex Razors now I have not tried one. I have asked Matt to send one, but he hasn’t responded to that email. Ha ha. If you want a smooth operating adjustable razor, I would highly recommend the Rockwell tea too. You get a additional 15% off using Ohioshaves15 at check out. I believe it comes out to like 112 bucks. No brainer.
I would like to see a Pearl Flexi vs 6c and T2. Similar price 70 Dollars includes a stand. Pearl Flexi is fully adjustable like the T2. Another great Video.
Got the 6C ordered based on all your favorable reviews. I can’t wait to try it out. Was looking at the 6S and T2S and just could not commit the funds just yet. I will report on my 6C impressions soon
I literally just went back to my 6c as I haven’t used it for a while.. That razor with a Perma Sharp blade and 1955 soap from Razor Emporium was like butter.. can’t believe how smooth that combo was
Another great video! I have been wetshaving for 15+ years and have owned dozens of DE razors- from classic Gillettes to Merkur Future, etc. I'm tempted to pick up a T2. It would be great if you did a short video on how you style your chin/goatee area, I always struggle with that because the DE razors are so wide.
Great compression. I tried the T2 and 6S for a head shave. Both razors on setting 3. For me they felt about the same. Both are great, got a great shave out of both. 👍
I’m debating which of these two razors I’m going to buy. Aside from adjustability, what would you say the differences are between the two? Is the T2 worth the extra $66 over the 6s? Thanks for the great content. Definitely the best quality shave videos out there - camera angles, sound, etc. Keep it up!!👍👍
It's a tossup. Both razors are absolutely perfect shavers. If you want to be able to adjust on the fly, then go for the T2. If you want to save some money, and still get a perfect shave, go for the 6S. I do believe the T2 is a little smoother on my face. I would definitely buy with this additional 15% off by Saturday. Let me know what you decide? Thanks for noticing my channel. Look forward to speaking with you in the future.
TBH, I have never been deterred by switching plates on the 6C. I have both razors and they in my opinion both excellent shavers. I need to use the T2 a little bit more, but either way I know I'm getting an excellent shave. You really can't make a wrong decision here. 🪒💈🇨🇦
Thanks very much for the video, it was very informative. I am seriously considering the T2 as I am still looking for my perfect razor/bade combination and probably need the adjustability between passes, as I have sensitive skin with a strong beard. I have been using the R41 and R89 with several different blades. Results have been mixed and quite annoying - everything from a nice shave to a blood bath. After 40+ years shaving I didn’t think the switch to DEs would be such a challenge, but that’s part of the ‘fun’ I suppose. Onwards and upwards. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing. Rockwell razors made me a better shaver. I would definitely jump on one of those if I were you. I have the same skin and hair type as you.
The R41 is the most aggressive and “scary” razor out there, definitely not recommended for newbies. The Gillette King razor is mild and the Merkur 34C is the most recommended razor out there that I’ve encountered. Where did you settle on?
@@georgewashington3012 Hi. My go to is the R89 which I use with BIC and Bolzano blades which give me perfect shaves. Sometimes I use a Feather too. If I have a few day’s growth I use the R41 with no problems (my technique has improved considerably). I use the T2 occasionally and find it surprisingly aggressive - I tend to stick to level 3 or even 2. If I had to choose one it would be the R89. + Bolzano every time 👍. Cheers!
Hello, currently riding a Edwin Jagger DE89, but want to try something one or two steps more aggressive. Dreaming about EJ 3one6, but the price is nuts for me. Any recomendations? Just got the T2 SS last week. Noticing that one door on the butterfly shuts tight, the other stays a bit loose. You can see it's open a touch and you can wiggle it, there's some play. With or without a blade in it, same thing. Did I get a defect or are they all like this?
Hey nice shave but my question is does the adjustable Rockwell T2 does it show blade on the sides when loading into the butterfly and the same question for the 6c?? I’m looking to purchase both razors but looking for that good razor that doesn’t show blades on the side because I attend to get cut behind the ear at times
Ok thanks I just been looking very carful and couldn’t really tell but u did mention that in the beginning of the video. So it’s best to purchase the adjustable T2 instead of the 6C?

I’m looking at the HensonAL13 but I’m concerned that it won’t get thru the coarse hair without doing a bunch of passes. Do you think the Rockwell 6C is a better choice?
